I can say for certain that t2 Mimic into t3 hasted Forerunner is a high powered play. Opponents most of the time will be trading or taking six directly.
It's basically Conley Woods' Mono Black Eldrazi with crumbling vestige swapped out for Concealed Courtyards and Key to the City, both Collective Brutality, and a Transgress the Mind out for a playset of Eldrazi Displacers. Sideboard I pulled Key and Titan's Presence for two Kalitas, Traitor of Ghets. Basically I love the displacers and am looking to use them as value for constant bouncing, either of their blockers that aren't good matchups, to prevent them from blocking, block and not lose a creature, or to abuse/reuse Wasteland Strangler ETB triggers.
I've been playing his original version and actually liked it. His idea was to be efficient with mana which is why he played so many Wasteland Strangler, Bearer of Silence, etc. in the mainboard (Having removals attached to creatures). It also makes the deck more aggro by having more creatures, but does leave it more vulnerable without all the extensive removals black has access to, like Murder or Grasp of Darkness.
This deck was able to beat UW Flash and BG Delirium a couple times, but still struggles against aggro. I think that's a problem that will just persist until we get our hands on Yahenni's Expertise. Till then, I'll be playing a slightly modified version:
The fact that I'm no longer playing the instant speed removals I had before does seem awkward but I suppose this is part of the struggle in a standard format without the painlands.
Hi Everyone,
Here is a twist on mono black Eldrazi. Its more of an aggressive mid-range with a bit of inevitability built in and a subtle delirium theme.
In this list we only splash C Deovid C mana for Smasher Mindwrack Demon was chosen over Thought-knot Seer to help fight back the WU Flash decks in the air. Noxious Gearhulk helps us in the long game. Scrapheap Scrounger and Eternal Scourge have great synergy. A combat killed Scourge can be exiled to return a Scrounger. Then Scourge can be brought back from exile. Enemy kill spells and even Stasis Snare and Declaration in Stone do not keep Scourge out for long. These two devoid creatures also work Mindwrack Demon if he puts them in the graveyard on ETB.
Dead Weight gives us a quick easy way to remove a small threat or mute a larger one. Shamble Back gives another quick efficient "removal" spell. Great way to exile a big threat against G/b Delirium, gain some life against aggro decks, and establish our board presence. Super value at ONE cmc. Ruinous Path at 4x + an airborn Demon and Reality Smasher allows the deck to get after enemy planeswalkers quickly. Ruins of Oran-Rief superchargers a late to the party Smasher, MindBender, and returning Scroungers and Scourges.
Its been fun in testing. And I might even takes this out next Friday night.

I like your idea, but I think you can cut back on a few cards:
Mindwrack Demon: Is a full playset really necessary? Not even G/B Delirium plays that many. I like the 4/5 Trample-flyer too, but I don't think this list can reliably achieve delirium in time every game, in which case, it will drain your own life fast.
Ruinous Path/Murder: 4x Ruinous Paths and 3x Murders? You've already got a full playset of Grasp of Darkness, so I think this is at least a little overkill. Also, might To The Slaughter be better than Murder here if you want to keep the delirium sub theme?
Noxious Gearhulk: 2x in MB seems a lot considering this guy costs 6 mana.
If you want to keep the delirium sub-theme, which I still think is cool, have you also considered adding in some Copters or Liliana? This would help you achieve delirium more reliably.
Before heading off to a small Thursday night standard event, I did make some changes.
-2 Distended Mindbender to the sideboard
+2 Liliana, the Last Hope
-2 Shamble Back
-2 Dead Weight
+4 Transgress the Mind
Four Mindwrack Demon did not feel like to many. And Delirium was achieved all but one time. Its actually been easy to hit.
Four Ruinous Path might be a bit much. But Gideon is everywhere.
Noxious Gearhulk never felt like something I wanted to cast when I had it.
Maybe 2x Thought-Knot Seer and 2x Kalitas could in there instead. Not really sure at the moment. But open to ideas.
The main thing I'm skeptical of in your list is the Scroungers and Scourge. They do synergize well with each other but you still have to pay mana for them. Effectively you have to constantly pay 2 and 3 for a vanilla 3/3 and a 3/2 that can't block; it just doesn't seem very efficient since you have quite a few 4 and 5 drops. It probably would work if your creatures were mostly 2-3 drops. If you find you like the Scrounger/Scourge combo, the you should just play Zombies since that deck is pretty much based around reanimation.
Any new ideas brewing up with Aether Revolt now released? I think if you're going to be playing Eldrazis in this Standard, you will have to give up the colorless ones, as the mana simply isn't consistent enough without the painlands. Even before the painlands rotated out, Eldrazis wasn't considered a top tier deck either.
I am interested in the new card, Metallic Mimic, which would make many Tribal decks, including Eldrazis, viable. However, because of the currently available mana base, if you're going to be playing Eldrazis, it's probably best to stick with the colored ones. I'm thinking Grixis, which gives access to Eldrazi Skyspawner and Drowner of Hope; both give Scion Tokens and along with +1/+1 counters from Metallic Mimic. Grixis colors also provide Herald of Kozilek, which can speed things up, and Black removals like Fatal Push.
Just saw this myself. I forgot about Spire of Industry. Maybe the mana base isn't as bad as I had thought, but I still think Eldrazis will on average continue to experience worse mana consistency than other decks. I'd add a Pilgrim's Eye in exchange for a Reshaper or Strangler to further mitigate the mana base.
Also why is there only 14 cards in the sideboard? Did they forget the upload the last card on the site? Or did the user purposely not include 15 cards?
Also I'm surprised this list runs a full playset of Grasp of Darkness but no Fatal Push. Maybe change that to half and half?
Also if Kalitas is in there, so should Yahenni's expertise (I bet this was the 15th SB card).
I tested the deck out and it is surprisingly good. It is even capable of board stalling against BG Counters, which I did during several games and finished them off with Heart of Kiran and Walking Ballista.
Overall mana base doesn't appear to be an issue. However the deck also unloads rather quickly so some card advantage would be nice, especially during board stalls. I think a Live Fast would be nice somewhere.
The sideboard still needs work. I think 3x Declaration in Stone and Warping Wails seem too many. Should cut those for Yahenni's Expertise and Authority of the Consuls.
1. Grixis improvise (2-0)
This was a control deck, so it was naturally in my favor. The combination of hand disruption and Reality Smasher was unbeatable.
2. BG Counters (2-0)
Despite being called "BG Aggro" it is actually more midrange, and in this particular case, surprisingly slow. All he did was drop one creature per turn after another, and I just picked them off one by one and attacked. The second round, he had the upper hand until I played Fumigate with Kalitas on the field. Heart of Kiran was probably also an MVP here as they had no flyers or ways to block flyers.
3. RG Wolves (0-2)
Finally something different! I got flooded both rounds and this deck was quite aggressive so it definitely overwhelmed me.
4. BG Delirium (2-0):
Same story as BG Counters, only even slower.
5. Jeskai Saheeli (2-1):
Another Control deck, so also an easy match-up. I lost the second game here because I had underestimated how many counterspells he had. But once again hand disruption and consistently attacking got the job done.
Overall I'm quite satisfied with this deck especially given that I didn't have one issue with mana consistency. Aggro is still a struggle which was also why I lost to the Wolves deck. Going forward, if people at my local meta play more aggro decks, I might change things up, probably like...
In this case, going just BW midrange while splashing colorless for only Thought-knot Seer and Reality Smasher. My only hesitation here is that Matter Reshaper is among the decks few sources of card advantage.
I've been playing a UB version of this deck on xMage and it always seems it's ALMOST there. I can't quite put a finger on what it's missing. Here's the list I've been messing with online. I like Fleetwheel Cruiser since it's basically a second set of Reality Smashers. I know it's not perfect and sometimes it just doesn't get there, but other times when you curve out and realize Eldrazi are still a thing and are tough to beat. Open to suggestions. Deck building has never been my strong suit.

I think the Cruisers are unnecessary if you're already going to be playing 3 Smashers. Even now, I play only 2 Smashers and only in the sideboard against control. A 4 or 5 mana beatstick is just too constraining against aggro decks.
Also you're playing 4 colors which is definitely too greedy, especially if you're not running servant of the conduit. There are also much better removals to be playing in your colors.
Meanwhile, in my quest to exploit all the minor synergies around, I am interested in exploring a deck that includes this sequence:
T2 Metallic Mimic naming Eldrazi
T3 Herald of Kozilek
T4 Reality Smasher
Suggestions or information pointing to existing decks that include this are welcome. Otherwise I will try to come up with something on my own. The image below is of something Neil Oliver was working on last year before rotation. That could provide a starting point.
the problem with metallic mimic is it has 1 toughness, in a meta infested with walking ballista it is not a good thing. reality smasher sometimes is not good enough even if it came down on turn 4, if it come down on turn 4 the plethora of cheap deathtouch creature will render it useless. it is a different story with skysovereign, consul flagship, if it came down on turn 4 it will wreak havoc on the enemy's board. it think it deserves a honorary eldrazi title along with scrapheap scrounger
moving forward i think the best shell for eldrazi is still black, splashing another color for artifact removal and utility.
i am experimenting on mono red eldrazi featuring eldrazi obligator and burn spells. threaten effect are rare in standard. and particularly devastating on G/B deck.

Seconded. I no longer play Smasher main board because the 5 mana cost is too high and pretty much a dead card against aggro decks.
Ive been doing BW the last two weeks. I like this combination of colors because I think it provides us the most amount of answers.
When things go as they should this deck performs great. Early game removal then take over the board. But so far I've lost about half my games due to either not drawing lands or removals; statistically, both should be unlikely because I'm running 24 lands and 11 removals. If anyone can spot why it's happening or think I'm wrong please let me know because I'd very much welcome your opinion. Otherwise, I'd assume it's just chance.
Other cards I've considered:
Eldrazi Displacer: everyone I've met say this + Thought-knot Seer is great but I don't see it (pun intended). The opponent would draw a card before you snag one so their net loss is 0. Of course it'd be great with Panharmonicon but I'm not running that.
Eternal Scourge: I like that this creature can interact well with Scrounger and eats up removal so that you'll pretty much always have a 3/3 available lying around, but the fact that you have to spend 3 to cast it each time was very inconvenient. Also it can be rid of easily with Walking Ballista.
Gifted Aetherborn: I REALLY want to play this but I think the double black cost would be too constraining for me. If I do, I'd probably switch to just WB midrange and dropping the Eldrazi altogether.
Archangel Avacyn: she is good but I didn't think she added much value other than just being a good card in itself. For 5 mana, I think Skysovereign is a better choice.
Immolating Glare: I think Blessed Alliance is overall better.
Authority of the Consuls: This is effectively Thalia in Enchantment form. I am tempted by the life gain yet I don't think that makes it worth running.
Smasher doesn't seem that bad. It cannot be Fatal Pushed, and it's already hard to remove otherwise.
@Hoser: I keep drifting back to a colorless build with a light black splash when I brew. Mimic wants you to run a bunch of Scion producing Eldrazi. It could be interesting to try out a Sultai list, running Skyspawner, Catacomb Sifter, and Drowner, with Deep-Fiend and Westvale Abbey's as the top end. I'd take that Temur list as a shell and swap out the Red removal for Fatal Push and Transgress. I'd also swap the Refiners for Catacomb Sifters. And maybe bounce around the numbers a bit. The manabase should be fairly easy to fix up. You lose a Sirebluff and Fumarole, but gain Blooming Marsh and Quagmire. Release the Gremlins and Chandra are the best red sideboard cards. But Bearer of Silence and Ob Nix seem like solid sideboard replacement options. There is also Natural Obsolescence.
If I do a quick swap as per above, it would look like this:
Smasher is obviously not bad but it's just not something you'd want to play against aggro.
One of the biggest downfalls of the Temur build is that it relies too much on Aether Hub, and rightfully so because it is running 4 colors. I think that's why the Rogue Refiners were played in that list: energy and card draws.
Running 4 colors in this Standard is already very hard. But when one of those colors is colorless, it's even harder: there aren't many lands out there that can reliably provide colored and colorless.

U Talrand, Fun Police (Needs updating)

RNA Standard: Grixis Midrange, Jund Deathwhirler, Sultai Vannifar
GRN Standard: Red Midrange, Mono-Blue Tempo, Wr Aggro, Gruul Experimental Dinosaurs, Sultai Midrange, Jeskai Midrange
Modern: Bant Spirits
Forcing a single archetype in all formats: too many colors, bad mana.
reality smasher sometimes is not good enough even if it came down on turn 4, if it come down on turn 4 the plethora of cheap deathtouch creature will render it useless. it is a different story with skysovereign, consul flagship, if it came down on turn 4 it will wreak havoc on the enemy's board. it think it deserves a honorary eldrazi title along with scrapheap scrounger
moving forward i think the best shell for eldrazi is still black, splashing another color for artifact removal and utility.
i am experimenting on mono red eldrazi featuring eldrazi obligator and burn spells. threaten effect are rare in standard. and particularly devastating on G/B deck.

Please let me know if you think differently.
4 Aether Hub
2 Botanical Sanctum
3 Blooming Marsh
2 Evolving Wilds
1 Forest
3 Hissing Quagmire
1 Island
1 Swamp
4 Sanctum of Ugin
1 Wastes
2 Westvale Abbey
1 Drowner of Hope
4 Elder Deep-Fiend
4 Eldrazi Skyspawner
4 Matter Reshaper
4 Metallic Mimic
2 Reality Smasher
3 Catacomb Sifter
4 Thought-Knot Seer
2 Wretched Gryff
Spells
4 Fatal Push
4 Transgress the Mind
2 Baral's Expertise
1 Ob Nixilis Reignited
2 Bearer of Silence
1 Jace, Unraveler of Secrets
2 Natural State
2 Negate
1 Natural Obsolescence
1 Skysovereign, Consul Flagship
2 Unsubstantiate
1 World Breaker
Modern: R Skred -- WBG Melira Co -- URW Nahiri Control
Legacy: R Mono Red Burn -- UWB Stoneblade
Commander: R Krenko, Mob Boss -- WUBRG Scion of the Ur-Dragon -- WUBRG Maze’s End
Other: R No Rares Red (Standard) -- URC Izzet Tron (Pauper)
One of the biggest downfalls of the Temur build is that it relies too much on Aether Hub, and rightfully so because it is running 4 colors. I think that's why the Rogue Refiners were played in that list: energy and card draws.
Running 4 colors in this Standard is already very hard. But when one of those colors is colorless, it's even harder: there aren't many lands out there that can reliably provide colored and colorless.
Wedge mana. Yuk. BB, UU + R + C? Insanity!
I have a reputation to maintain. How far can I go with Corrupted Crossroads?
