The PT list that missed the top 8 looks decent against most of the field and really only seems to struggle against a turn 3 Liliana, the Last Hope; if you can't answer her you will lose the board quickly. Here is my take of the list for anyone still interested in the archetype:
In the sideboard I currently have a Gaea's Revenge in place of Emrakul (still have to pick one up), and 2x Den Protector and 1x Clip Wings (testing) in place of the Volleys. Flames is delegated to the board now because Spell Queller destroys it so badly it isn't even funny. Snare comes into the mix because you need to be able to deal with Emrakul, which is also one of the reasons Sigarda is in the list (she is also great against BW control making your grave into a board out of nowhere and giving you protection from late discard as well). Gideon is in the side because of the influx of fliers and Lilis that make him potentially a lot worse in game one depending on your opponent. I am thinking that Display of Dominance is some of the best sideboard tech available against a lot of the stuff that gives the deck problems, I might try those in some amount of the Volley slots from the board.
So after my pre-release gave me a gisela and promo thalia's lancers and then i saw the legendary naya list at the pro tour, i figured the magic gods were telling me something, so i got this list together and played it last night to a 4-0 finish.
Ended up beating mono-blue prison, BW control, RW goggles ramp (kind of a hybrid between RW goggles and UR eldrazi control), and then Temur Emerge. I had Emrakul cast on me twice (and nahiri'd into play once) and it never was even close to game ending. stasis snare is a straight beating against that card. the first one i lost a flipped nissa (it was at 2 loyalty and i already had the token) and he emblemed my gideon and ate a knight ally with one of his dudes. the second one he just scooped when he saw my hand.
Going forward, i'm going to main all 4 snares and up the avacyn count to 2. linvala is going to the board because there is basically no aggro around my area. also, for the same reason, i'm dropping a rending volley out as well (lack of any human variants) and relegating both tragic arrogances to the board.
EDH is like French fries: some people like waffle cut, crinkle cut, or plain old straight cut, and while there's slight flavor difference and personal preference, at the end of the day they're still fries.
Played the above list to another 4-0 finish. I got the ol' round one bye, then beat 4-color emerge, BW angel control and RW goggles. I made a few changes. I moved the linvala, the preserver to the board, added a second archangel avacyn to the main, moved a tragic arrogance to the board, moved the 4th stasis snare to the main and dropped a rending volley from the 75. I also swapped the fortified village for a second battlefield forge. The decks seems good, but I haven't played against bant company at all, so I have no idea how that match up would be.

Lets be honest, with the revealing of 4 new planeswalkers, this deck is back and stronger then ever!
Chandra has two new planeswalkers and so does Nissa
Well, five new ones. The second chandra and nissa are weak and are meant for new players (They do have strong up ticks, and if players spend their time attacking them, they could be good distractions to save your life.) I really doubt they will see much play. Additionally, one Planeswalker kicks out another of the same name, so no point of having multiples of them in a deck or you risk having dead cards.
