Benjamin Weitz is credited with developing this deck. He did pretty well with it at Pro Tour GRN. It's this midrange Red deck that Wizards and Mtggoldfish used to call R Aggro: here and here. It also made a bit of a showing at Worlds. I've built it and played it. It's fun and good!
I took the MatiCheto's list from above out to Monday Night Magic (card availability issues forced me to substitute for Banefire #3 and Lava Coil #4). It was a weird night, with eight people all playing various flavors of R. I beat Grixis Control, Boros Angels, Grixis Drakes and Mono-R Aggro (traditional, not the mirror) for a 4-0 night. Deck is good, but I was lucky (I won my first ever 0-land keep!). It being the first time I played with Siege-Gang Commander, I missed some lines, but my luck overcame it. I took it out on a Saturday night also: 3-1, first. Try it, you'll like it!
I also think that Karn is too good (especially for a Mono Red deck) to not play in the maindeck as the card advantage is really important and it work well with Treasure Map. Legion Warboss on the other hand gets stonewalled by so many creature that it is probably a SB card at best.
So many great cards! I think some of decks I linked above also had Karn. As you say, the synergy with Treasure Map is outstanding.
I think you might be underestimating Legion Warboss though. A deck with this much removal and Chainwhirler can remove blockers. Often there is a window to end up a goblin token ahead and if he sticks ... free wins are good.
I like your diversified land base and love Demanding Dragon and Etali. I have found Banefire to be quite useful, so depending on your meta, finding space to main at least one might be worth a try. I could see another three drop or two also. People who have played Sarkhan against me on the play have just wrecked me, so I could see either Warboss or Sarkhan in the main. Frenzy in the side works well with Treasure Map, but not necessarily well with Karn. These are just random suggestions, as overall I really like your approach.
My online deck list in MTGA works pretty well, but its built to fight removal from black so it's not exactly optimized, but I went with boros mentor and use the Bodyguard one drop to protect Aurelia. To fight the removal I keep running into I swapped to raptor hatchlings that work with deafening clarion and get buffed from the stalwarts and Aurelia.
Not posting it here since my online library is a mess and dont have the cards to get the lands at the moment

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!

I see that Siege-Gang Commander is the preffered top-end though I like Demanding Dragon as a fast evasive clock in that slot.
