Sleeved this deck for last FNM and went 4-0, playing against Superfriends, BG Snake, BG Fungi and Mardu Vehicules. Deck is fun to play and could use some tweaks to make surviving early on easier.
Navigator's Compass and Cogworker's Puzzleknot are excellent at giving you an early buffer against fast-paced deck (more life to work with or a pair of chumpers that can eventually win you the game if you resolve chapter 3 of The Antiquities War).
#With all the fixing (Comapass, Prism, Hub, Spire) in the deck splashing for Battle at the Bridge doesn't seem too hard and it can be a good SB card or even a maindeck card if Rebuke is moved to the SB improve the aggro match-ups.
The deck should play 4x of the following cards imho: Ornithopter (free and evasive for War), Treasure Map (scry's, produces more artifacts and can draw card) and Prophetic Prism (fixes and cantrips).
Some potentially good cheap creatures for the deck can be Merchant's Dockhand and Artificer's Assistant which can dig and scry for relevant cards or be early roadblocks. Hope of Ghirapur may be a SB option to delay control decks and preventing that Settle the Wreckage from ruining your alpha strike.
Check out this thread. There's another player that has built a deck very similar to your's and they've gone in depth in explaining card choices. You may be able to get some ideas off comparing your list and his. I'm playing a list very similar to his and I really want to try Edifice of Authority. That might help out against mono green while still being good with karn and antiquities war.
I've been having a blast playing this style of deck. Cheers!
After playing some games with my list I decide to overhaul it as it wasn't interactive enough and also lacked enough threats.
Do-nothings like: Ornithopter, Traveler's Amulet and Board the Weatherlight (it is not bad but having more threats is better) had to go.
Tezzeret the Schemer can also be good here maybe over some number of Karn/Herald though these seem like the stronger payoffs for this deck alongside War.
@Thornis: I was hoping to fit in Tezzeret's Gatebreaker. Can dig for either an artifact or Antiquities War and allows to alpha strike even on a clogged board.
Also, a little update on the decklist. Here's what it looks like as of now:
4 Aether Hub
4 Spire of Industry
4 Zhalfirin Void
3 Island
3 Swamp
2 Inventors' Fair
Creatures (6)
4 Foundry Inspector
2 Padeem, Consul of Innovation
Spells (34)
4 Fatal Push
4 Navigator's Compass
4 Pacification Array
4 Cogworker's Puzzleknot
2 Treasure Map
4 Metallic Rebuke
3 Edifice of Authority
3 Bontu's Last Reckoning
4 The Antiquities War
2 Ghirapur Orrery
4 Scrapheap Scrounger
4 Chief of the Foundry
3 Aethersphere Harvester
2 Traxos, Scourge of Kroog
2 Metalwork Colossus
SB plan is simple: You change strategy and blank their sideboarding tech. I usually go:
-4 Pacification Array
-3 Edifice of Authority
-4 The Antiquities War
-1 Navigator's Compass
-3 Bontu's Last Reckoning
and side-in all the creature package.
Been thinking about swapping Bontu's Last Reckoning for Fumigate or Phyrexian Scriptures. Both would delay the boardwipe, but Fumigate could get some life out of it to recover from early game pressure while Phyrexian Scriptures would essentially be a one-sided boardwipe.
Would also like to fit in 4 Glint-Nest Crane. Would also like to swap Edifice of Authority for Icy Manipulator to lock my opponent out of WW if need be (those pesky Settle the Wreckage sure could screw you...)
Navigator's Compass and Cogworker's Puzzleknot are excellent at giving you an early buffer against fast-paced deck (more life to work with or a pair of chumpers that can eventually win you the game if you resolve chapter 3 of The Antiquities War).
Any thoughts?
EDIT: Ok, Just found out that Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain would be insane here. Will take out Ghirapur Orrery for her I guess. Also, what do you think of Jhoira's Familiar for this build?
Also turning treasure into 5/5 is strong so why not 4x treasure map?
Though some cards in this build seem rather questionable to me, notably: Edifice of Authority, Ghirapur Orrery, Padeem, Consul of Innovation
(nothing is really worth protecting) and Bontu's Last Reckoning (maybe better off as a SB card).
I've seen a similar build in this forum which looked closer to what I'd do:

#Adding White for Board the Weatherlight to consistently find the Saga seems like a solid idea and it also gives you better SB options like
Cast Out/Ixalan's Binding (and Seal Away/Thopter Arrest) that aren't color-intensive
(which is important in this deck and why I'm not really a fan of Bontu's Last Reckoning).
Board can also find Karn which is another powerful finisher for this deck.

Here is my tak on this deck:
4x The Antiquities War
Planeswalker (2)
2x Karn, Scion of Urza
Creature (6)
4x Ornithopter
2x Merchant's Dockhand
Artifact (20)
4x Renegade Map
2x Traveler's Amulet
2x Navigator's Compass
4x Pacification Array
4x Treasure Map
4x Prophetic Prism
4x Board the Weatherlight
Instant (4)
4x Metallic Rebuke
Land (20)
4x Spire of Industry
4x Aether Hub
4x Zhalfirin Void
6x Island
1x Plains
1x Swamp
3x Blink of an Eye
4x Negate
3x Battle at the Bridge
3x Ixalan's Binding
2x Sorcerous Spyglass
I've been having a blast playing this style of deck. Cheers!
Edifice of Authority seems like an overcosted Pacification Array for the most part so I don't really like it.
At 3-mana there is also Deadlock Trap but it isn't great either though can work with some energy production to power it
(Aethersphere Harvester, Aether Meltdown, Glimmer of Genius and Glassblower's Puzzleknot).
This is probably the more optimized take on the Antiquities/Improvise archetype:
https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/1147533
Though the artifacts here seem a bit questionable with no copies of Treasure Map (better than Metalspinner's Puzzleknot) and I'd also maindeck Pacification Array and keep Spyglass in the SB.
Do-nothings like: Ornithopter, Traveler's Amulet and Board the Weatherlight (it is not bad but having more threats is better) had to go.
Here is the new build:
4x The Antiquities War
Planeswalker (2)
2x Karn, Scion of Urza
Creature (6)
2x Merchant's Dockhand
4x Herald of Anguish
Artifact (20)
4x Renegade Map
2x Navigator's Compass
4x Pacification Array
4x Treasure Map
4x Prophetic Prism
2x Sorcerous Spyglass
4x Battle at the Bridge
Instant (4)
4x Metallic Rebuke
Land (20)
4x Spire of Industry
4x Aether Hub
4x Zhalfirin Void
5x Island
3x Swamp
3x Blink of an Eye
4x Negate
3x Doomfall
3x Ixalan's Binding
2x Phyrexian Scriptures
Tezzeret the Schemer can also be good here maybe over some number of Karn/Herald though these seem like the stronger payoffs for this deck alongside War.

Not sure I understand how Hope of Ghirapur helps against Settle the Wreckage. Can you elaborate?
Also, a little update on the decklist. Here's what it looks like as of now:
4 Aether Hub
4 Spire of Industry
4 Zhalfirin Void
2 Inventors' Fair
2 Plains
2 Island
1 Swamp
1 Mountain
Creatures (8)
4 Foundry Inspector
2 Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain
2 Padeem, Consul of Innovation
4 Fatal Push
4 Navigator's Compass
4 Pacification Array
4 Cogworker's Puzzleknot
2 Treasure Map
4 Metallic Rebuke
3 Icy Manipulator
4 The Antiquities War
3 Fumigate
4 Scrapheap Scrounger
4 Chief of the Foundry
3 Aethersphere Harvester
2 Traxos, Scourge of Kroog
2 Combustible Gearhulk
Will probably cut Padeem and 2 Pacification Array to fit 2 Tezzeret's Gatebreaker, a third Treasure Map and an additionnal land. New Tezzeret would be nice too.
