Haven't played standard in forever but really want to sling dinosaurs. This is the first attempt at a list. I think Jund or Naya is the strongest shell and this is an attempt at Jund.
Creature base is pretty standard. Drover of the Mighty isn't a dinosaur but is good two drop and ramps. Deathgorge Scavenger fills out the three drop spot and is pretty solid in the meta. Eating cards out of graveyards is good because of The Scarab God, God-Pharaoh's Gift, and eternalize creatures. Ripjaw Raptor and Regisaur Alpha round out our 4 ofs and they're worth is pretty self explanatory.
Burning Sun's Avatar is there because I expect tribal and aggro decks to be prevalent. Also Burning Sun's Avatar has the same clock as Carnage Tyrant because the 3 on ETB plus three swings of 6 is 21 just like three swings from Carnage Tyrant. Only difference is Burning Sun's Avatar can be chumped. This is really a toss up. Tetzimoc, Primal Death is part of the reason to play black. He can be a one sided wrath and is a fantastic mana sink on turns where you know you're not going to use all your mana. The deck doesn't have a ton of instant speed interaction and Tetzimoc, Primal Death lets you play mind games. You can reveal it one turn then next turn leave some mana open to see if they play around the Fatal Push or Vraska's Contempt.
Commune with Dinosaurs is our only turn one play. It does a good job finding land or threats whenever you need them. Thunderherd Migration is just Rampant Growth in this deck 99.9% of the time. It and Drover of the Mighty get turn 3 Ripjaw Raptors which is solid along with dropping our other threats early.
3 Fatal Push and 2 Vraska's Contempt is our removal suite. Fatal Push isn't quite as good in standard as it is in modern but 3 is a decent number. Vraska's Contempt is one of the better reasons to run black. Answers big threats, The Scarab God, and other Planeswalkers and the lifegain is just a nice bonus.
Chandra, Torch of Defiance is just a good card. Can be a win condition if we protect her. Remove blockers for our dinosaurs or card advantage later in the game.

Anyone try R/W Dinos instead? With a more controlish build with Lightning Strikes, Reckless Rage, and even a fun little interaction. ANd you get the enemy fastland which is great. This is what I just brainstormed
Saving Grace + Temple Altisaur makes for a funny interaction where it'll take a lot of damage to kill you. Especially if you want to stick in a Looming Altisaur but a 1/10 Veteran Bodyguard isn't really needed especially with the removal we have. And I could swear there's a death and taxes interaction with Acrobatic Maneuver and Trapjaw Tyrant, but I'm not sure you can exile the tyrant in response to the Enrage Trigger.

I'm just waiting for better mana to be honest. Right now the mana fixing is better for low to the ground aggro listings, where as red / white dinosaurs is more of a mid-range list.

Why Woodland stream instead of Botanical Sanctum?
With 4 T1 Green spells, 8 T2 Green spells and 6 T3 green spells (2 requiring blue); I would play 4 botanical Sanctum. Having those lone 3 huntmasters really puts a strain on your early mana base. I also think that 23-24 lands is better, especially since you are pulling lands out of your deck with EW and Migration, makes drawing lands less likely.
My thoughts are: 23 land 4 Botanical Sanctum
3 Rootbound Crag
2 Hashep Oasis
4 Evolving Wilds
2 Island 2 Mountain 6 Forest
12 T1 Green sources, 19 by T2, 9 T2 sources for the 3 Red~Huntmaster
Best T1 plays, 12 T1 Green sources for T1 Commune,4 EW for color setup for T2
Point is to get Ghalta out ASAP
Im not high on Optec Huntmaster or thunderherd migration as Accel and haste giving, Servant of the conduit reduces Ghaltas cost by 3 and can help fix for black if I stick with lost legacy. Not once have I had any issue with running out of energy; one can also put counters on with with Rishkar in play.
I just Love playing Regisaur alpha into Ghalta!

Yeah Reggie into Galta is just madness. I've seen people just scoop after that play because what exactly is a 2/1 naga going to do against what is often 22 power on turn 5-6? The scarab god is still rough to play against, but this deck just wins out of no where. Also, I'm surprised by how well Raging swordtooth actually works. I never realized how many x/1 creatures there are in the format right now and it just sweeps the field on it's own. Thunderherd migration helps a ton in the build when dealing with removal since they can kill mana-dorks, but not a land.
Also, it's interesting to note that by revealing a dinosaur like Ghalta, Primal Hunger, you can almost tell when someone is holding up a Vraska's Contempt or similar removal.
1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
I was playing Temur Dinosaurs before the Rival prerelease and it was working fine.
The counterspells from the sideboard were just game winning against any white control deck playing Settle the Wreckage and Fumigate.
Now I see Ghalta, Primal Hunger and Thunderherd migration as very strong upgrades for the deck. I was even thinking going for a Dinos and Gods deck to play Ghalta very early with Rhonas the indomitable, Wayward Swordtooth and Kefnet the mindful. The two last activate Rhonas on top of that. I don't really know how difficult the Swordtooth is to activate but in the end Kefnet and him are synergising quite well.
The two gods are not very likely to be targeted by The Scarab God (only way to kill them is to exile them) and the Swordtooth and Ghalta are poor targets (4/4 that can't attack and 4/4 trample...).
It is a bit of an "all-in" strategy but I might give it a try.
I may try Temur as well since the counter magic early on can help the dinosaurs stick. Not to mention it gives some ways to interact more favorably with control decks. I did run into a deck using Gideon's Intervention and Gideon of the Trials. I'm not sure what that deck was about, but it felt like he was just sort of throwing as much stuff up against a door as possible and hoping he could shoot through said door. Kinjalli's Sunwing, Authority of the Consuls, slaughter the strong, etc. His top end was Cataclysmic Gearhulk in one game and Azor, the Lawbringer. Has anyone else seen this deck around?

Drawing a card for 4-mana is hardly an upside imho, this isn't Relic of Progenitus...
You are correct, but, if you wanted yard hate and had a choice....
Also, silent gravestone doesn't prevent sarcophagus from the drake haven deck does it? On mobile sorry
In general you don't need Crook of Condemnation because between the Deathgorge Scavenger and the Silent Gravestone their yard is getting hosed most of the time in some fashion. Plus I'd rather eat cards with the scavenger so I'm getting life or swinging in for 4.

Wayward swordtooth doesn't really work in dinosaurs. It's more of a support card for other non-tribal based strategies and may be a sign of "lands matter" being a theme in the next set.

Going to be playing around with a Ghalta/Fling deck this coming week. Testing out wayward swordtooth in it as a way of lowering Ghalta's cost as well as allowing Rhonas to attack or block and to crew vehicles. Running either cultivator's caravanor heart of kiran if I can get my hands on some. Will post the turnout soon, with decklist included

I've been messing around with G/R Dinosaurs since RIX came out and I really like the archetype so far. Green/White has merits too. I think there's more to this combination than G/R. Kinjalli's Caller is a great dork. Especially since Green has a lot 3cmc drops in Deathgorge Scavenger, Ranging Raptors and Ravenous Daggertooh, which I feel Raptors is the best one. Savage Stomp basically replaces Reckless Rage, and works well with Temple Altisaur since no matter what happens, damage becomes 1. Besides 3-4 4/5 and 4/4 can get there.
