Okay, so, this is my "first" ever deck. I have posted here before, listing my ACTUAL first ever deck, but it was literally just a pile of cards that I owned, without any synergy or balance. At the time I had never even played a game with anything other than the tutorial starter decks they hand out for free at Wizard affiliate shops. Now that I actually know the game a bit, I'm trying my hand at a deck again, for realsies this time. And I would like to know what everyone thinks. Please note that I am still a noob, still starting my collection, so some of the more unusual card choices were made out of ignorance of better options, or else limited by cards that I actually own.
In case it wasn't obvious, this deck focuses on Mechanized Production, and Panharmonicon. Most Panharmonicon decks (that I have seen) don't have much more to them than simply using Panharmonicon to drastically beef up an already existing win strategy. But with Mechanized Production, Panharmonicon itself IS my win strategy. Mechanized Production gives me an auto-win, if I have 8 artifacts with the same name on the field during my Upkeep, so a lot of the cards in my deck have copy target artifact effects (I may add some Mirage Mirror as I grow my collection and actually get some copies of that card). Every card that doesn't have a copy artifact effect is designed to either build mana, or grant life, thus increasing my survivability and buying me time to copy Panharmonicon. And should plan A fail entirely, like if the opponent has a "exile all cards of a certain name" effect or something, I hope that I have a few heavy hitting creatures to fall back on. Now, I know that there's some problems with this deck... lack of spell removal, being a big one... and that's why I'm posting it here. I am looking for advise on what to remove, what to add, and how to improve this prototype deck. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!
Without going too much into detail, your mana base is really bad for three colors without the use of better dual lands or Aether Hub and Spire of Industry. You have pretty weak creatures on their own that are also too expensive to cast, basically all the aggressive decks will eat you alive and midrange/control are simply more powerful. On top of that, Abrade is an extremely popular card right now so you have to build the deck that it is not relying on the artifacts.
