So I created this deck when Hour of Devastation was spoiled and have been working on this ever since.
when i started i was looking for a deck that could play Nicol bolas a little earlier than others as well as press my advantages when he was on the board. I also wanted to be able to cast my new favorite card torment of hailfire for huge amounts and use it to close out games quickly once it resolves.
In my quest to meet these 2 goals i crafted a deck that has been in my opinion a beautiful marriage between ramp and control and have never looked back. So with out further ague i present Bolas ramp.
The deck plays tappout control removing threats and protecting its planeswalker's until they can ultimate and take over the game.
since this is also a ramp deck you are able to go over the top a lot faster than your opponent.
You have the potential to get a turn 4-5 bolas and start playing their cards for value or picking apart there hand setting you up to resolve a huge torment of hailfre. Torment has been ridiculous i have cast it anywhere from 5-10 mana and it just wins games or insures your victory.
If you have to cast it for smaller it still doesn't feel to bad because you have Bolas for some back up dome damage and of course combustible gearhulk. He has been an absolute mvp as well the average damage for him just coming into play is anywhere from 3-13 if they make you mill cards. usually after the first one resolves and they take the mill option he just becomes a draw 3. If you guys have any questions, comments or suggestions i'd appreciate it I'm planning on taking this deck to a local cash tourney. I've been playing this on cockatrice now for a little over a month and my current record for today was 8-1.
