I'd like to offer some rationale behind the cards I've chosen so that it might be clearer what I'm attempting with this list and thus may aid in making it more cohesive.
Walking Ballista serves a couple of different roles as a curve-filler/mana sink, creature and planeswalker removal, as well as a way of halting the Saheeli/Guardian combo quite effectively.
Thraben Inspector Generates card advantage, provides an artifact to turn on Unlicensed Disintegration, as well as enabling the secondary mode of Fatal Push where necessary.
Scrapheap Scrounger Recursive, aggressive threat which also acts as an artifact for Unlicensed Disintegration. This is one of the cards I'm least certain about but it has performed decently thus far.
Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet is a great card in aggro match-ups and presents a fairly efficient game ending threat against such decks.
Goblin Dark-Dwellers the deck was built to abuse the strong removal in R/B currently and this card is the main reason to do that. Getting extra value out of removal spells and a 4/4 menace to boot is just a great deal.
Both Chandra, Torch of Defiance and Ob Nixilis, Reignited are present in order to provide card advantage and solid removal in the grindier midrange matchups which we expect to face such as B/G delirium.
Shock plays a few roles as removal for early game creatures, a potential way to pick at planeswalkers during boardstalls are certain particularly threatening combos, as well as reach in the late scenarios when combined with Goblin Dark-Dwellers.
Murder is here simply as additional efficient removal for bigger, more expensive creatures.
Ruinous Path for the odd occasion where our other removal pieces aren't useful. Considering bumping up to a 3-of instead of having the two copies of Murder mainboard.
Unlicensed Disintegration This card is super neat. It can poke at walkers, destroy problem creatures and also result in some delightfully messy 2-for-1's against the Saheeli combo deck.
Overall, the deck is intended to fight what I expect to be the meta going forward. Which is to say, lots of aggro and lots of Saheeli. If you have any thoughts on the deck or why I'm wrong/right with my meta predictions please don't hesitate to leave them below.
Cheers!
