Because of me killing someone on turn 4 at the prerelease I need to figure out if this is a real deck.
This is how I killed my opponent.
Turn 1: Augmenting Automaton
Turn 2: Attack for 1 then play out Ornithopter and Ravenous Intruder (O: @ 19 life.)
Turn 3: Play 2 Implement of Combustion, tap 4 artifacts and a swamp to play out Sly Requisitioner. Sac 4 artifacts, draw 2 cards, getting 4 more Servo tokens, sacing the Servo tokens and attacking for 17. I show him the Shock I drew and he laughs his ass off. (O: @ 2 life.)
Turn 4: Shock him. Win.
I understand I got incredibly lucky to do this but the fact this is even possible means there is something here. All you need are 5 non-token artifacts and Ravenous Intruder + Sly Requisitioner in play to deal 21.
It seems completely absurd this exists but with Key to the City it becomes unblockable damage.
I'm not sure if B/R, Jund, or Mardu are the best colors for this but in testing the improvise mechanic I have dropped a turn 2 demon, won on turn 3, in 1 turn drew 5 cards with Sram ... this deck is highly explosive and can splash for almost anything.
It's entirely possible and when you look at other cards in Standard, there may be additions to make it easier. I would probably go B/R just for simplicity. I'm at work right now so I'm not sure what else you add in.
You'd never want to go for it so early in constructed, as you won't have evasion or protection, but it's certainly an interesting synergy worth exploring alongside other good cards.
The big question is how to deal with instant speed removal spells like Fatal Push aimed at your giant attacker.
Check out this article . It was posted on SCG's website. The concept seems to be very similar to what you are going for. Some suggestions I have are to make sure the individual cards you are running carry their own weight. Also, Servo Schematic seems insane with Ravenous Intruder. Syndicate Trafficker and Defiant Salvager provide good secondary options. Finally, depending on how you build it, Pia's Revolution could be pretty crazy in a deck like this. If you end up using any implements, you can really put your opponent in a Catch-22 where they have to take 3 or else you get to keep drawing cards and pumping your dudes.
Check out my build I posted on here a couple days ago. It is capable of going off on T4 but plays more of a value game. The sideboard allows it to shift into a more control/mindrange game. It's titled R/B Aristicrats.
