Wanted faster pressure against the marvel decks. And it can't crew a heart if needed
What did you cut it for if you wanted faster pressure? 0_o.
Although it's substantially worse without copter... I feel like we need it as draw and an extra card to turn on our exemplers. Maybe that's wrong.
On a side note: I think whether or not I go your route depends on whether I want disintegration.
My first idea was to play inspector but I felt that exemplar was faster. And there is enough artifacts to turn him on. Because you can play it and then copy it on t3 with saheeli if it is the better play and then the copy turns them both on if you don't have a heart or scrounger. I would love disintegration but I can't stretch the mana. If inspector is played you can probably get away with it because you can play the new pain land with aether hub. I have also been tossing around the idea of playing aethersphere harvester because inspector and guardian can crew it up.
Exempler can not be cut, so if you have to choose between that and Inspector... makes sense.
Naturally everyone is buzzing about the new Saheeli Rai + Felidar Guardian combo.
One of my biggest complaints about Saheeli Rai is she doesn't do much alone (if you don't draw the combo).
I really dislike having combo pieces in a deck that serve no other function. They act as dead cards... and with limited card selection in standard tt's something I would rather not risk.
As a result I started brewing a deck that could both utilize both Saheeli Rai as a planeswalker AND a combo peice.
Below is the following result: a cross between an "aggro" and a combo deck. Feed back appreciated.

Im going to be trying a 2 of bomat courior, with Torrential GH, and instants instead of stasis snares, etc. This gives saheeli something to do with almost every creature. Copy a bomat late game for card advantage, or a TGH with "anticipate" in the GY, for something to do with the ability. 4 of disallow gives turn 2 disallow if bomat is out, to board stall for setting up combo, if u cant get it online turn 4. Gideon is also the way to go, over red, imo.
Does this deck really work as an aggro list? Guardian is really garbage with Saheeli, and Saheeli is incredibly mediocre without Guardian.
Although I agree Guardian is guarbage without Saheeli, Saheeli isn't bad without Guardian. Her +1 deals one damage and scrys (helps filter draws). Her -2 ability will either do an additional 2-7 damage (depending on the board state) or just win you the game. Best case scenario outside of the combo is her -2 deals 7 points of extra damage on turn 3. Which I would argue is probably good enough?
Except she can't protect herself. A lot of these lists are running things like Scrapheap Scrounger and [/card]Heart of Kiran[/card] which will have a very hard time protecting Saheeli. I'm not saying she's bad, just mediocre in an aggro shell. I feel like this deck is going to be best as an all-in combo deck.

Agreed. In the control build people wait to play her until they can combo. At least here they have to spend resources or send in their blockers to kill it. If they do that just swing back. If a t2 heart is played then she is protected pretty well. Most people won't swing into a 4/4

Do you have any experience playing this list vs the control version or the Aetherworks Marvel?
So I got to play 2 games tonight after class, I went 2-0. I played copycat control and won 2-1 and then played against mono black zombies And won 1-0 he dropped after I didn't take a damage game 1. Heart of kiran was busted every time and 8 walkers was too much for both decks to deal with.
So it is obviously nearly an unwinnable g1 in the mirror but against nearly every other deck it simply outvalues in all ways. Insane card draw and Panharmonicon abuse to the maximum. I have been loving this list. Its based on Andrew Jessup's list but Countless Gears Renegade is trash imho and maining 3 Shock is great vs both the mirror and aggro decks.
Once you stick Panharmonicon the game ends. You don't really need combo to win you can use Felidar Guardian and Eldrazi Displacer to just drown your opponent in card advantage. Game 2 you have the choice of going all in on combo with a ton of counter spells. I am surprised andrew didn't include Fragmentize in the side as the deck has no answer to an opposing Authority of the Consuls.
Fragmentize also hits Aetherflux Reservoir Inspiring Statuary Heart of Kiran etc

Do you have an updated deck list?
I'm also considering cutting the combo and going control. Forgot whale was a card.
[.deck.]
4 toolcraft exemplar
4 scrapheap scrounger
4 spell queller
4 felidar guardian
4 saheeli rai
4 Gideon ally of zendikar
4 heart of kiran
3 stasis snare

1 Gisela the broken blade
1 archangel avacyn
2 fragmentize
1 declaration in stone
4 galvanic bombardment
2 ceremonious rejection
1 negate
[/.deck.]
The advantage that I had to the control mirror was that I could play saheeli t3 and he couldn't. I was able to filter my draws better than him. His card advantage was something but it didn't matter. I just didn't run the heart into removal. Play it like a smuggler's copter. If they have open mana and you have a scrounger or exemplar out, just swing for 3. By the time they were at 6 mana they had to try and combo which left them open to a shock. Their life total was to low to wait any more turns

Also: do you like Scrouger? Your version is much more tempo.... I'm woundering if another card would be better going that route.
I do like scrounger. I wanted another artifact to turn on exemplar t2 and he does a good job of that. Just trying to put early pressure on and sit on queller or rebuke
So throughout the testing so far with the above list I am:
2-0 wr humans
2-1 uwr saheeli control
2-0 mono b zombies
2-1 bg counters
1-2 ub control
2-1 rug control. (Ur with g for appetite for the unnatural and pulse of marasa)
Ub was the hardest matchup. It was just too much draw go for me to be able to deal with. And for them being able to deal with heart of kiran easily was a pain. Any ideas how to sure this up?
Hey Diegini, I really like the look of your deck and am leaning heavily towards something like it. I think you want 4 Displacers to start with. Maybe cut one of the Panharmonicons. As we all know from Modern, Displacer is really, really good on its own and in this deck it can crew Flagship and still use it's ability. Basically there's no good reason not to max out.

Some people like to win MtG matches in the Red Zone. I prefer to win the way God intended: on the stack.
as i stated the main issue is the mirror. Your gunna wreck most other matchups. I love drowner of hope. sick card. Torrential gearhulk is a fear but if u can stick Panharmonicon you can really get ahead
So throughout the testing so far with the above list I am:

2-1 rug control. (Ur with g for appetite for the unnatural and pulse of marasa)
2-1 ub artifacts with tezz
2-1 ub Aggro artifacts
0-2 eldrazi saheeli combo (this deck was sweet)
2-1 gw humans (this was faster and better than rw)
So far I'm 9-2 with the deck. Made this list tonight and it was more fluid
4 thraben inspector
4 veteran motorist
4 spell queller
4 felidar guardian
2 archangel avacyn
4 heart of kiran
4 saheeli rai
4 Gideon ally of zendikar

2 shock
2 metallic rebuke
23 land

4 galvanic bombardment
2 Gisela
3 dispel
2 ceremonious rejection
2 declaration in stone
2 fragmentize
I was playing a friend tonight that had this deck but in the straight UR build just splashing white. Counterspells , shocks, dig and combo that's it. Very hard to beat, was also using 4 mana chandra. I was playing B/W control pretty much has no hope of beating that deck and you'd think it's good because of MD Thalia and anguished unmaking as well as transgress, but it somehow finds a way to win.

I changed out the exemplar and the scrounger for thraben inspectors and the scrounger a for motorists and 1 heart for an aether ship and I'm 6-0 since doing this. The draws are much smoother and I'm wrecking people. Have a 16-2 record
