This deck is based off of Martin Dang's List from GP Rimini. The deck works by self milling and ramping into Emrakul with a lot of removal and Ishkanah to get you there.
I never understood why 2 Ulvenwald Hydra was played over other cards, Chandra, flamecaller as an example and even then I think that if Hydra is played then there should be at least one Rogue's Passage.
I shaped the deck to be pre-boarded against Bant Company, Bant Humans and White weenie with built in defenses against any aggro deck and it looked like this.
and the cards I plan on replacing those cards are:
+4 Cultivaltor's Caravan for the Pilgrimages
- Any color gives us more red, black for Ishkanah activations and one Ishkanah can crew 2 Caravans! Can you imagine the line of having 2 caravans and 5 other mana and playing ishkanah and crewing 2 caravans for 10 damage out of no where?!
+4 Galvanic Bombardment replacing the Fiery Impulses. I might have to go to Incendiary Flow if I cant get 3 damage from bombardment consistantly enough.
+1 Combustible Gearhulk will replace Atarka. The jury is still out on this Hulk, cant wait to play with it though!
Then 1 main deck Ulvenwald Hydra to replace the Gather the Pack.
My 1st draft 75 will look like this:
Having access to black for Ishkanah activations is cool but havent tested against a deck where spiders arent used to chump.
Crewing the caravan has been fun in some games.
Cant wait to sleeve up a control type deck and run this against it.
I really like the look of this deck! The Caravan's interactions with the spider tokens is nice.
The one thing that stands out is Rogue's Passage. I didn't think it was still legal once Origins rotates, unless I missed a new reprint.

gotta take that card out! +1 Game TRail

I talked to many people, tested Chandra, Torch of Defiance against some midrange and control decks and she is by FAR a superior card than Hedron Archive for the role Hedron Archive is supposed to fullfill.
On the surface when comparing the 2 cards Chandra is obviously better but I was focusing on the role that Hedron Archive fills in that spot as opposed to comparing the 2 cards side by side. I was concerned about not being able to cast her on time due to the double red but that was put to rest when it was brought to my attention that Rogue's passage is rotating which brought in Game trail#4. That made me take a fresh look at the mana base and my access to red and I figured that it shouldn't be a problem statistically.
After eliminating the biggest mind block I took a fresh look at Chandra and what the card could do and realized that Chandra could win all by herself with an emblem, she adds more removal to the deck and she can cast red removal with the 2 red that archive couldnt do.
I know from experience that I rarely ever had 2 hedron archives in play at the same time with only 2 in the deck so I knew the chances of having one Chandra in play and not be able to cast the other as to have access to more mana isn't likely and even in that situation you are very likely in a winning spot.
In conclusion, -2 Hedron Archive MD, +2 Chandra MD from the SB, +2 something to the SB, we'll see how week one goes.
SB 3 Appetite for the Unnatural - Artifacts everywhere and gains life! Great against aggro and Visions! 2 Pulse of Murasa - life gain against aggro and vision decks. 2 Noose Constrictor - this card leaves if vision decks go out, probably not necessary 2 Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger - I know I want 1 for sure, but 2? 2 Nissa, Vitalforce - can accelerate from 5 to 7 and is a threat on its own 1 Combustible Gearhulk - we'll see if this card is good or not, comes in against control decks 1 Ulvenwald Hydra - comes in against control, just another threat, flex spot 2 something against control - ?(1 Sanctum of Ugin & 1 Shrine of the forasaken Gods?, )
Won FNM last week with some unintended changes; I couldn't get 4 Galvanic bombardment so I played Incendiary Flow, then realized its a sorcery not an instant, but that actually helped my delirium/Emrakul count a few times, I only got one Combustible Gearhulk and due to the multiple cards that have low CMC it was quite lack luster, I didnt want to spend $37 on Chandra, Torch of Defiance so I stuck with Hedron Archive and counted one time I would not have been able to cast her and another time I could have used the removal~Verdict is still in the air.
Lovin Cultivator's Caravan, there were a handful of times were I would have been able to cast a galvanic bombardment off it on t3 if I had them over Incendiary Flow.
I crewed the Caravan multiple times with Ishkanah, Grafwidow and even used it to block opponent's larger creatures who missed that ability.
I also realized and once used Chandra's two 3/1s to swing for 10 instead of 6.
There was one game where I played 2 Ishkanah back to back and had planned to "untap-draw-go" so that at the end of their turn I would drain them for 7 then 7 more on my turn for the win since Caravan can provide black, well my opponent didnt see that but Ishkanah was the biggest creature on my side so she got killed.
I obtained 2 Nissa VitalForce and Sideboarded her in like 4 times but never drew her.
I will test out Red Hulk this week, if it doesnt pass the test I think I will just replace it with the 2nd Ulvenwald Hydra out of the board and that will free up 3 SB slots:-1 hydra, -1 Red hulk and -1 Noose Constrictor for the 3rd weaver of lightning and 2 Commencement of Festivities?
Cant wait for this friday.
EW!
So I purchased 2 Chandra, Torch of defiance with store credit to replace the hedron archives and during last Fridays' FNM I discovered you cant have her and Chandra, Flamecaller in play at the same time! Never occurred to me. That being said Chandra, Torch of Defiance is no more than a one of in the deck. I had a situation where I couldn't cast her, another time where she helped with removal but it didn't win me the game and another few times where she didn't live so she just did 2 damage and gained me some life. In one particular game she exiled: Emrakul, the Promised End, World breaker and sanctum of Ugin, EW!
I need 1-2 more sorceries in the deck to get more types in, looking at Cathartic Reunion; maybe -1 Defiant Chandra and +1 Reunion?
Got 2nd at last FNM. I got to deal 26 in one turn against a U/W control player by attacking with Emrakul then ultimating Defiant Chandra then casting 2 traverse the ulvenwald and a galvanic bombardment! Thats was epic.
I played U/W control twice in swiss, once in the finals, quite annoying exiling ALL my main spells. I could have played better, I dug so much that I milled a lot of my creatures, mainly Ishkanah, which can end the game by herself by attacking for 6 and "draining" for 4 a turn! Didnt realize that until it was too late, also protect your world breakers, dont let them get exiled!
Nissa, Vital Force finally showed up and displayed her power, in so much that I am throwing Ulvenwald Hydra out of the main for one of her. If Cathaloic Reunion fails in the deck I'll take it out for the 2nd Nissa main and add the 2nd Hydra to the board
Edited list below
Top 4 at FNM (never outrageously competitive) Cathartic reunion was garbage, Nissa, Vital Force was great, -1 Reunion, +1 Nissa for a total of 2. I am going to try and go under control decks instead of trying to overload them with big threats so im dumping Combustible Gearhulk. These changes give me 3 spots for 3 tireless tracker in he SB, updated list below. One another game with Chandra's ultimate, she is growing on me.
Turn 2 mana dork into a turn 3 Chandra or Archive leads to turn 4 World Breakers, which on the play can be enough of a backbreaking play to just end the game. Kiora, Master of the Depths is also able to do this, and the deck can be played in three colors using Oath of Nissa. Obviously, though, it trades off a lot of utility, but it has played well for me.

I can tell you you are not going to want 4 Defiant Chandras.
You might find it hard to get to ulamog without shrines, in any case a faster Ulamog is better, despite all of that a 2nd Emrakul is better than the 1st ulamog.
I would definitely replace one WB with the 3rd Ishkanah, she is just great right now.
Been watching Jaberwocki, the RG AEtherworks Champion, Streams on Twitch and have played against this deck once, it is more than likely better than this deck.
I am trying to get the cards for Aetherworks as well but people on Pucatrade are being VERY stingy lately

2 Nissa, Vitalforce - can accelerate from 5 to 7 and is a threat on its own
1 Combustible Gearhulk - we'll see if this card is good or not, comes in against control decks

Thoughts?
Been watching Jaberwocki, the RG AEtherworks Champion, Streams on Twitch and have played against this deck once, it is more than likely better than this deck.
I am trying to get the cards for Aetherworks as well but people on Pucatrade are being VERY stingy lately
