Hey guys, this is my arrempt at fusing a couple of brews together for a standard deck. I have played Jeff Hoogland's modern Mardu deck and decided to see if I could port it to standard. The other half was partially inspired from the seasons past list that is gaining popularity as of late.

To break down what the deck does... What you want to aim for is to use your filtering and card selection to put a combination of both Dragonlord Kolaghan and another big creature in the yard for ever after. Dragonlord Kolaghan grants all creatures haste and she combines very well with a lot of the other creatures in the deck to quickly end games. There is a dragon subtheme in the deck that allows you to utilize cards such as Thunderbreak Regent, Draconic Roar, Foul Tongue Invocation, and Orator of Ojutai, the latter of which is currently being tested over sin prodder in the main. I think the deck wants to stall and protect until you can assemble the Ever After combo to win. Orator of Ojutai can wall most creatures in the meta and can potentially replace itself by functioning as a Wall of Omens of sorts.
Nahiri and Chandra being added also functions as both a permanent that can filter as well as wincon with her ultimate ability.
The deck also is very deceptive about how it progresses to its victory. Draconic Roar, Thunderbreak Regent and Kolaghan's Command all can deal incremental damage which sets up the finish very well. A lot of the creatures have some form of evasion which makes preventing the final hit from the combo incredibly difficult.
Ulamog and Linvala are the payoffs for both Nahiri and for Ever after. With the latter providing life and the former providing an angle of attack that is effective against various midrange and control decks.
Dragonlord Kolaghan also has a very convenient second ability that makes him surprisingly effective against creature heavy decks like Humans and Coco decks.
The filtering and draw, are tremendous throughout the deck due to the fact that the deck has to see a lot of it's cards per game. Tormenting Voice is the most important part of this as it comes down early and sculpts the opening hands getting reanimator targets in the grave, and alleviating one of Mardu's biggest weaknesses which is drawing the wrong half of it's cards. Read the Bones helps to also dig deep and keeps the hand full as you progress. Combined with cards likr Kolaghan's Command and Orator of Ojutai plus the walkers, we can be consistent with our game plan.
Finally, the sideboard contains a few creatures and choice removal spells to help push the dcck both more controlling or more aggressive depending on matchup. Sin prodder ability lines up well with what the deck wants to do and having evasion through menace definitely helps. Kalitas goes in against the creature heavy decks as a way to gain life, and a way to slow down faster more aggressive decks. The one Kozliek is a great slide in against slower decks and bw based decks because of the prevalence of their exile removal. We could with proper land setup cast Kozliek, but reanimating it will definitely be the focus here. Kozliek also having menace himself is very good.
