The deck in my signature was originally based off of a U/R Tutelage deck. I found that there was just too much incidental hate in standard - by way of Orbs of Warding, Dromoka's Command or any other enchantment removal.
With that said, I really like the inclusion of Jeskai Ascendancy and I'll start testing a list on MTGO as it feels more proactive than the normal builds.

I had some surprising success last night with coastal discovery and boiling earth in my u/r tutelage deck. Actually found both awaken costs to be useful and buy me some time against most opponents. Boiling completely wrecks token and ramp decks and is surprisingly satisfactory to cast. Going to give a jeskai build a try at some point, but probably won't run the deck much more as it's getting to be a very bad matchup with the most common decks in my meta.
I ended up doing some more testing with this deck over the past week. I've found adding white really helps the deck; even if you only splash. I'll be updating my deck on the first page later today if anyone is interest with what I've been playing. I really appreciate all the discussion this thread has been getting. I figured after rotation happened this deck would fall by the wayside, but it seems people are still playing it!
Not sure about that but at least now with Jeskai Ascendancy I can actually do damage in case I can't win by decking. On the last FNM I had a Harbinger of the Tides + Ascendancy and hit my opponent for 3, 4 and 3, leaving him at 10.
If I end up including a second Ascendancy and a third Harbinger, beatdown could get real.
In this same vein, I was thinking of maybe including Mantis Riders in the sideboard... always loved that card...
So this is what I am planning on running. I own no Jace so he is out. Mainboard is mainly positioned against creature decks with Soulfire Grand Master and damage spells as a way to stall out. K command is my only way of dealing with orbs of warding and Starfield of nyx is hopefully to help out against enchantment hate. Talent of the Telepath is for control along with the negates and dispels.
I am unsure if I want clash of wills and fathom feeder in my 75 at all.
You should just cut Clash of Wills since the deck plays at sorcery speed. It would be better to have more removal, especially being in black where you have the most options.
Not sure the splash for white is worth it in your list, why not just stay grixis?

Without a counterspell I lose to too much mainboard. I am thinking of changing it to Scatter to the Winds. I dont know of a better option than those 2 that can hit a mainboard Orb of Warding or Dromoka's Command without being dead in other matchups.
Edit: I am considering tightening coils instead of clash of wills

The lack of radiant fountain makes the list too susceptible to aggro lists. I can get a turn 3 or 4 play to gain anywhere from 2 to 12 life. I feel like once I get to turn 6 the draw power of the deck will win the game but I have to able to get there. Not to mention if I can get Ojutai's command in here then I can easily bounce SGM back to the battlefield from the gy and do something else.
Once you realize you aren't playing a deck that will flood the board then I would sideboard it out but especially the Soulfire Grand Master + Radiant Flames combo is to much to pass up, and that is without considering the Archive.
I am surprised not to see more Dispels in the 75 of these lists. I played the U/R version on the weekend (black lands for Radiant Flames) and the biggest thing that beat me was (outside of being overrun by creatures) was by my Tutelage being removed. I had 3 Dispels in my SB and 2 Negate main, and by the end of the night I had wished they were the other way. I had three rounds straight with Dromoka's Command and Utter End removing my Tutelage. Main deck Dispels would have went a long way. And Dispels plus Negates ruins the Esper match ups for your opponent.
I think I like Soulfire Grand Master over clerics along with 3 roasts coming in versus aggro decks. Game 1 I am just trying to draw into win and then adjust from there.
I'd like to fit the 4th tutelage in but I don't know what to remove for it, maybe the tidecaller. Was also considering trying to fit some copies of refocus in the 75 somewhere but can't settle on pulling anything out. I'm also not sold on the mana base, so any suggestions?
Hi Guys.
I'm new to this Tutelage deck, but want to try it. I like a lot the mill decks. The first I played was in Tempest/ Rath cycle days
I don't have many time now for playing and want a really fun deck for my FNM games.
The list that LeoninKha post seems sweet. I think I will try to make a deck in that way - Jeskai with Ojutai's Command, End Hostilities and Jeskai Ascendancy.
I think understand the place of all cards except Talent of the Telepath. This card is in sideboard against what kind of deck? Against Treasure Cruise decks?

Its good vs anything with lots of spells, for example Jeskai or Control Decks, where you can snag Dig Through Time or Treasure Cruise, or even their own removal to use it and kill their creatures.

I think they will sideboard out their removal in game two against this deck, at least the sweepers. I was exactly thinking ins a sideboard transformation for game two, with creatures or tokens. They sideout the removal and we can put creatures.

So I was building my own Tutelage Mill deck and tested it some games online and well yeah, i got undefeated so I wanted to show you my version. I am from Germany so please don't flame me for my english grammar if I make some mistakes
So mainly this is a control deck, but as a win-condition I use Tutelage. So the Maindeck is constructed to fight against the Atarka Red and Monored and heavy creature based decks. And therefore I adjusted the Sideboard. Vs Red we can swap out the two Crux of Fate for some Languish for example, vs. Mardu sacrifice decks I bring in Silumgar, the drifting Death and vs. G(W) Megamorph or G Hardened Scales I bring in Infinite Obliteration against Whisperwood Elemental or Managorger Hydra. I hope I can help you with my suggestions

Tiny Leaders: Too many decks to keep track of
Pauper: RIP UR Drake | Mono B | GBx Goodstuff | Jund "Melira"
After thinking a lot about this list I have some doubts:
-It's well tuned or it's a budget version? The deck will be better with 4 Jace's or in this deck this number it's in that day a better choice?
-How that mana base look? I think it's OK, but only 5 red untap lands in turn 1 it's acceptable?
-How do this play against Atarka Red decks?
