What should be my sideboard strategy for G/R/x Monsters? I know I want to bring in Boros Reckoner, Searing Blood, and Anger of the Gods, but I am not sure which to take out from the following: Rakdos Cackler, Ash Zealot, Lightning Strike, Boros Charm.
Lately in MODO many lists used 3 Prophetic Flamespeaker and 4 Boros Reckoner in sideboard. I just dont get it. Reckoner helps against Jund/Naya and other monsters? Flamespeakers are good against aggro and mirror i suppose. Also reckoner evades Last Breath in UW. But really, i dont get it. Does anyone nows how to use them right?

Boros Reckoner wins me games against G/R Monsters.
Not a lot of Standard players at my FNM last night... everyone was doing the Conspiracy draft. Went 2-1 (first one was a bye and the second one my opponent conceded), but only played one actual game. Then I played a for-fun game against a friend. I'll report anyway!
The two decks I played were G/R monsters and White Weenie.
G/R monsters: They were playing the usual build. First match I just wiped the board with him. I think he was able to attack with a Ghor-Clan Rampager once before killing him. He brought out a Xenagos PW, and made Satyrs, but they just made for great Searing Blood fodder.
I side in my Fated, Troopers, Mortars, BL, and Chained. Took out Shock, Searing, and 3 Skullcrack.
Second match he got out Stormbreath Dragon turn 4 and had a Scooze out. Eventually he also got a Rampager. Too much to deal with. I also kept a pretty greedy hand. Only had two lands the whole match. Shouldn't have kept it.
Third match was very close. He didn't have much in his opening hand, but then he went into ultra top deck mode pulling Poly K, Dragon, and Rampager. I was at 20 and he got me down to 7 in one turn. Ouch. He was at 8, I had two Lightning Strikes in hand with nothing on the field. Got him down to 2 at end of his turn and pulled... a Young Pyromancer.
I think his first match he was mana screwed (weird, I know). I was at 19 after burning him out. Second match was a little closer, but I just had too much burn. I pretty much ignored all of his attacks and creatures even while having YP on the field. He made a GREAT board presence. The last turn I had 3 tokens, YP, and a Phoenix on the board, swung with everyone (he had one creature that could block).
Pretty happy with this build. I never had any problem getting W and only had to mull once. I'm very much liking the consistency of this deck. I'm planning on taking it to the SCG Open that's coming to Portland soon. Gonna start the major grinding!
Has anyone played Jim Davis' U/W Control that has Planar Cleansing instead of Detention Sphere? If so, how is that matchup different from regular U/W Control?
Has anyone played Jim Davis' U/W Control that has Planar Cleansing instead of Detention Sphere? If so, how is that matchup different from regular U/W Control?
Similar but probably easier overall. Planar Cleansing isn't really a card that gets us much more than Supreme Verdict does. Like on occasion we might have a board of Chandra + Pyromancer + Phoenix or something and it's a bit annoying but the real reason to play Planar Cleansing is to wreck the midrange decks that try to overload control decks with planeswalker after planeswalker. The lack of Detention Spheres also means they have fewer ways to permanently deal with Chandra's Phoenix (only Last Breath now) which is also likely to our gain.
Toil // Trouble is fantastic against any control deck obviously, play or draw. On the play against Mono Black Devotion its a fantastic card as well. Turns 1/2 for them is usually just playing lands or maybe(near every damn time) a discard spell. Most of the MBD players take Pack Rats out against Burn when they are on the draw to limit their vulnerability to Searing Blood. If they kept 7 cards, and haven't used a removal spell, then Boom, 7 to the dome. Follow it up with ANOTHER toil//trouble the next turn if still no plays? That typically equals GG for them. I have only done that twice to MBD players and they both just shuffled up their cards and move to the next game. When on the DRAW against MBD, I usually take them back out as they are typically not as good, being their Pack Rats come back in.
It's based on the deck that won Mississippi States (piloted by Wilbur Dohring) a little while back. I thought the Steam Vents and Swan Songs were really intriguing touches, and I saw that they could be helpful in many matchups, while providing targets for Searing Blood at the same time.
The only real differences are that the sideboard is of my own design, I added a 4th Mutavault and I cut 2 Shock for 1 Toil // Trouble and an additional Chained to the Rocks in the main, which I thought were necessary to help against Jund Monsters.

I'm wondering why you decided not to bring in Reprisal and/or Fated Conflagration for the Naya match, especially after seeing Advent of the Wurm. You won anyway, but that would have been one of my first choices for sideboarding. Am I missing something?
Manabase
Why arn't I running Mana Confluence? This version of burn is almost a control deck with the number of removal I'm running in my 75 so I need a REALLY good reason to take all that pain
Why I'm I running 1 Temple of Silence and 1 Temple of Malice? 6 Scry lands = more choices which gives you more chances too either win or lose.
MD Removal Suit
Jund is the current topdog online follow by Bx Devo and Ux Devo so not running 4x Chains and 1x MM would be silly.
SB
2 Banishing Light is a my answer against Ux Devotion (I know lots of you here believe the MU is a bye, but its one of the few MU which can just kill you if you don't have CttR or BL on the spot)
1 Reprisal and 1 Fated Conflagration are for all the Ghost and Monster decks (I wanted too go 2x Reprisal but I felt that I needed that 5th MM for SBD and BBV)
3 Mizzium Mortars a must have if your not on the Dancer package
4 Toil // Trouble, 2 Chandra, Pyromaster, 1 Mutavault are my preferred anti-control package
- - - - - - - - - -
I count the 1 Keening Apparition as my flex spot, still thinking about it.
EDIT: I was thinking of the wrong video. You didn't bring Fated and Reprisal during the Bant match with the wurms... you brought back in a Shock and Warleader's Helix (I'm pretty sure). Just curious why.

@Dega Burn: I sometimes struggle too hit 5 lands in a 25 land list with Scry, let alone 4 lands with 23 - so I'll imagine this is a paper only list since a competent shuffle will make you lose many games due to land variance.

I guess it depends. You could try to have like 3 and 3 or 4 and 2 in the 75. Or just try 4 of 1 in one FNM and then the other 4 in another FNM to see how you like both.
