Although some may call it as Gu Prime Speaker, I like to call it as Colossal Kruphix as Arbor Colossus as the biggest threat and Prophet of Kruphix for board advantage.
Reverent Hunter : Serves as early blocker to give way for other plays later. Prophet of Kruphix : The bomb in this deck. You can spend all of your mana and cast everything and still able to cast more creatures during opponent's turn, or spend to get devotion this turn and monstrous Polukranos opponent's turn. Prime Speaker Zegana : Another card advantage apart from Garruk. If you're on top deck mode with Arbor Colossus in play, you just get to refill your hand in an instant. Cyclonic Rift : In this deck, it is easier to overload Cyclonic Rift than Mizzium Mortars, and I think far better. Overload at EOT will just clear the paths and might just wins you the game.
I don't quite like Jace as he is often used to dig for cards, whereas here we have 6-7 cards for CA (if you run 3 Prime Speaker Zegana), which I think better than Jace. Of course depending on preference, some still run 2 of Jace in MD.
I agree that this deck is less aggressive as compared to Gr but threats and CA wise I think is better. What attracts me the most is the ease of overloading Cyclonic Rift. A total game changer compared to Mizzium Mortars. Against mirror or any midrange deck, at equal board state, overload Cyclonic Rift actually wins you game whereas overload Mizzium Mortars might not impact the board that much, plus sometimes the difficulties of getting the triple red.
I have tried the RUG version, much more aggressive than both GR or UG version but at the risk of colour screw.
But doesn't going deep on the 6-drops (while also cutting accelerants) make you a little more fragile to creature sweepers? I mean, the purpose of card draw is usually to draw your powerful spells, so having all your card draw at the top of yoru curve means that you won't ever be able to use your card draw to get to the late game....
Jace sucks as a card drawer compared to Prime Speaker, but the fact that it's a 4 drop (to play on turn 3) is a HUGE leg up in my opinion. Just theorycrafting here:
+ 2 Voyaging Satyr
+ 2 Jace, Architect of Thought
- 3 Reverent Hunter
- 1 Sylvan Primordial
And in the SB
+ 2 Reverent Hunter
+ 1 Gainsay
- 2 Hunt the Hunter
- 1 Jace, Architect of Thought
That makes the deck faster and gives it more card draw.
I agree but I feel that he is not necessary. Reverent Hunter might be suitable in his slot as early vanilla threat. Even as 3/3 or 4/4 is good enough for Prime Speaker to refill your hand. I think the concept of Prime Speaker is to keep your hand full and to continuously pressure with threats.
Also I would like to point out that UG version mostly runs 2-3 Nylea as hitting devotion and to use Nylea as attacker is quite feasible especially when Kruphix in play.
Comparing it to GR monsters, I think Rift is a better win con than Flesh//Blood, but I don't know if this build has enough threats. I am trying to figure out space for Shipbreaker Kraken as an alternative form of Rift's ability. Caryatid is such a great wall, and Mystic is a solid one-drop but they're the mana accel I like least, but I can't commit to dropping them. Also unsure of what to SB against Mono Black and so have been rocking AEtherling in that matchup for lack of a better answer.
Cutting red out which means we lose some of the important cards like Domri Rade, Xenagos, the Reveler, Ruric Thar, the Unbowed, Mizzium Mortars, Chandra, Pyromaster, etc. But with blue in, it gives the access to one Prophet of Kruphix, Prime Speaker Zegana and Cyclonic Rift.
2 Arbor Colossus
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Elvish Mystic
2 Prophet of Kruphix
3 Reverent Hunter
4 Sylvan Caryatid
2 Voyaging Satyr
4 Polukranos, World Eater
2 Prime Speaker Zegana
1 Sylvan Primordial
1 Nylea, God of the Hunt
3 Cyclonic Rift
4 Garruk, Caller of Beasts
Land
9 Forest
3 Island
4 Breeding Pool
4 Temple of Mystery
4 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
1 Aetherling
4 Mistcutter Hydra
4 Nylea's Disciple
2 Hunt the Hunter
2 Gainsay
1 Sylvan Primordial
1 Jace, Architect of Thought

If I take the liberty of rearranging the deck into 'clusters', it has
4 Elvish Mystic
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Sylvan Caryatid
2 Voyaging Satyr
Fatties
3 Reverent Hunter
4 Polukranos, World Eater
1 Nylea, God of the Hunt
2 Prophet of Kruphix
2 Arbor Colossus
2 Prime Speaker Zegana
1 Sylvan Primordial
3 Cyclonic Rift
4 Garruk, Caller of Beasts
Land
9 Forest
3 Island
4 Breeding Pool
4 Temple of Mystery
4 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
1 Aetherling
4 Mistcutter Hydra
4 Nylea's Disciple
2 Hunt the Hunter
2 Gainsay
1 Sylvan Primordial
1 Jace, Architect of Thought
The primary differences I see when comparing the list to a GR devotion list is
I do think that the Gainsays are pretty awesome though. I like a 3rd in the SB over those random hunt the hunters.
Also, in what matchups is Jace bad? Maybe he would be better than Sylvan Primordial in the MD?

Yeah, I'm thinking Kiora's Follower might replace Burning-Tree Emissary. And Kiora herself replacing Jace in these builds.
I'm thinking the deck looks like this after BNG:
4 Kiora's Follower
4 Sylvan Caryatid
4 Voyaging Satyr
4 Polukranos, World Eater
1 Nylea, God of the Hunt
3 Prophet of Kruphix
2 Arbor Colossus
2 Prime Speaker Zegana
3 Garruk, Caller of Beasts
3 Kiora, the Crashing Wave
8 Forest
3 Island
4 Breeding Pool
4 Temple of Mystery
4 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

4 Mistcutter Hydra
4 Nylea's Disciple
4 Gainsay
