What are my favorable match ups? My weak ones? What's your side board strategy? I just can't follow green devotion (the one with satyrs flipping nykthos and that 4/4 thing that manifests tokens) they eventually get like 10 more creatures than me and swing out.
So far I have tried to take out the satyrs but for 1 mana to play another one it doesn't really slow them down. If I do anything to the token maker guy, The genesis hydra helps them get more guys out anyway. I have drown in sorrow but haven't had the satisfaction of pulling it against these decks yet.
I googled a bunch of terms and youtube just as many, but deck techs really don't go into the detail I'm looking for. Typically they are little more than a deck list and not much strategy.
Here's my 2 cents. I am a Modern player who has been testing Standard because there are a few events coming up that are only Standard, namely a RPTQ. I have decided to try Abzan Aggro since it has the best cards. Green Devotion is a tough matchup and the GW Devotion is nearly unbeatable, unless you draw the timely Drown in Sorrow. Don't kill Satyr Wayfinder. Swing past him. Whisperwood Elemental is a must kill usually though. I think you honestly outdraw them to win.
I've heard that Mono Red is a good matchup. I've had a friend who told me that he has rarely lost to Control, even though I heard it was a poor matchup. I have been testing vs. UW Heroic and I've found it incredibly tough. I honestly don't know how the other matchups are although I heard that RW is also a terrible matchup.

Legacy - Sneak Show, BR Reanimator, Miracles, UW Stoneblade
Premodern - Trix, RecSur, Enchantress, Reanimator, Elves https://www.facebook.com/groups/PremodernUSA/ Modern - Neobrand, Hogaak Vine, Elves
Standard - Mono Red (6-2 and 5-3 in 2 McQ)
Draft - (I wish I had more time for limited...)
Commander - Norin the Wary, Grimgrin, Adun Oakenshield (taking forever to build) (dead format for me)
This really should be in the Standard section or in the Abzan thread there.
As an Abzan Aggro player, you basically save your kill spells for the big threatening creatures. Genesis Hydra and Whisperwood are your biggest concerns. Polukranos can be played around with combat tricks. Save your Bile Blights and Drown in Sorrows against Hornet Queen. Also flyers such as Wingmate Roc are their weaknesses.

Good cards for this matchup:
- Elspeth, Sun's Champion: -3 to whipe out their big guys or generate a lot of tokens to block until you can ultimate.
- Wingmate Roc
- End Hostilities
- Drown in Sorrow: Wipes out their mana dorks, manifest tokens, and hornets.
- Archfiend of Depravity: This is the new card Abzan has been using.
It's not a favorable matchup, just use your removals carefully.
