As the title suggests, this is the question I'm curious about.
With some of the cards we have received from the Theros block, is it possible to somehow create a Hatebear deck with cards like Spirit of the Labyrinth, Imposing Sovereign and Aegis of the Gods, while perhaps making an enchantment twist?
It would be cool. Eidolon of the great revel is also a sort of hatebear. Perhaps not fitting of the strategy though =P. I'm gonna spam some ideas and keep editing.
I'm going to type up a list and maybe make a thread for it. I feel like it would turn into a Naya Aggro or a G/W aggro list though both of those decks are fairly strong right now though. They are solid tier 2 decks.

Totally forgot about Eidolon of Rhetoric, and Brain Maggot would be good for a black splash (adding Thoughtseize to it as well). Dryad Militant doesn't seem like it would do anything to help in this current meta, as there isn't any Snapcaster Mage or cards with Flashback to worry about, although Judge's Familiar looks like it would be good.
I would love to see your list when its done. Keep me posted, and I'll try to brew one myself.
We actually have a decent number of "hatebears" at our disposal but sadly the strategy doesn't transfer over to standard all too well. We don't have access to any legitimate mana denial (Ghost Quarters/Arbiter in Modern Wasteland in Legacy and etc.) amongst other thing and the format isn't generally conducive to the strategy in general. You're likely better off running GW Aggro with cards like VoR, Skylasher, Miscutter Hydra in your 75 as generally decent meta hate.

So if we had some sort of mana denial, would that be enough?
Not because of the lack of hatebears... ...there are some good hatebears in standard right now. Aegis of the Gods would screw storm combo decks... ...if there would be any. Spirit of the Labyrinth would screw "card draw decks"... ...if there would be any. (Only real card-draw it battles is Sphinx Revelation in Esper Control... ...which ha no problem of getting rid of it) Aegis of God comes to late against thoughtseize and burn decks spend one Magma Jet and continue...
Standard is more "normal" or midrange then Modern. There are no combos (well, not much), no weird synergy stuff to hate. It is more like "Turn 3 something like Brimaz, Turn 4 something like Polukranos, Turn 5 something like Blood Baron of Vizkopa..."
If you play Aegis of God, Spirit of the Labyrinth and Imposing Sovereign and ask your opponent "Do you feel the hate???", he probably answers "No, not really... ...Polukranos, World Eater" or "...Supreme Verdict" or "...Golgari Charm".
Yeah, I'm agreeing with you here. I'm feeling like this could be a deck built in the future, but it will depend a lot on what the new metagame looks like once we hit October.
Hatebears works in Legacy because there are so fewer "fair" decks, and the deck has access to some really powerful cards. In Modern, the combination of Arbiter and Thalia can make it impossible for some removal to be effective, allowing for effective beatdown vs more controlling strategies, but it still isn't a teir 1 deck there. In standard there just isn't much to hate on, every card is pretty much a sideboard card that is good against one deck. You might be better trying GW aggro with some hatebear type cards.
Another possible alternative is a WGb Immortal Servitude deck based on 2-drops. Three each of Athreos and Servitude, then nothing but 2-drops, trying to be light on B mana costs.
I would totally see a Wx build (probably majority Humans) do well at the next SCG Open because Aegis of the Gods is so good right now, it would have to figure out a way to combat control but would be a good meta call

Thoughts appreciated.
Brain Maggot and Eidolon of Rhetoric are also considerations although not hatebears necessarily.
Dryad Militant Judge's Familiar
Scavenging Ooze and Voice of Resurgence are musts.
Keening Apparition Skylasher
