Hello I have recently purchased common and uncommon sets for shadows over innistrad, oath of the gatewatch, battle for zendikar, magic origins, and dragons of Tarkir. I was hoping for help building a standard deck. If this is the wrong place to post this, sorry in advance.
You can build a decent RW Renown deck with Origins use that as a base and add stuff from other sets and you might get somewhere. There's a lot of common and uncommon support in SOI for a Madness deck..

Have you searched for standard pauper decks?
I just googled RW Renown and a few deck lists came up, but they had some cards from non standard sets, but its a good starting point. I am still researching madness deck lists, but from what i seen the decks have rares, and I am not looking to buy rares until after eldritch moon is released. I only looked at the first page of pauper decks, looks like a fun format, but I am looking to enter a standard tournament. Thanks for you help.
Looks like a good deck. I made it out of my sets, draws are good, still need to test it at FNM. I love pick the brain and to the slaughter. Thank you for your deck list.
If you're looking for some inspiration for common/uncommon only standard decks, you might want to do a google search of "silver black, standard, mtg"
To my knowledge, "Silverblack" is the most commonly used name for an alternate format where people only play commons and uncommons. Keep in mind that these decks are built within a meta where all players only use commons and uncommons and the lists you find may not be prepared to handle decks in the normal standard meta.
I have personally be playing an all commons deck at local normal standard events and have had some decent results, going a combined 7-6 in three attempts (3-2, 2-2, 2-2).
Here is my list if you're interested: http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/the-game/standard-type-2/budget-standard/743659-temur-tokens-n-tremors
You can also play a slightly more aggressive version that is red/green, but, it lacks some depth of cards that can interact with most of the current standard meta. If you're interested, let me know. IMO, adding blue to build gives the deck more options in the sideboard and allows you to "be in" more games. I've had a couple games/matches that I've lost while holding lethal damage in hand for the following turn, which would not have been possible in a straight r/g version
I have a couple other common only brews that I've been experimenting with for normal standard play, but, testing has left me with the opinion that Impact Tremors is the only common card that has a real chance of attacking the current normal standard meta. I'm not really sure how I'd approach the meta with uncommons, as I pretty much only play pauper.

just took out the rares and added commons and uncommons. It ran good at FNM. Problem is some of the rares get pretty expensive. Thanks for your post.
