So i built this deck on a whim and after a sort of similar draft deck was successful but i don't know if i need more control or graveyard returnal what do you think? please comment and tell me what you would cut or add but i'm thinking Ultimate Prices or Murderous Compulsion for kill spells and maybe Reclaim or Ever after for graveyard tricks
I don't think you need the Cryptolith Rite angle, or Loam Dryads. I always found Tooth Collector lacking, however with the UR Flyers deck mainly running X/1s I suppose it's probably warranted. You may only need one since its dead in so many matches and you can tutor with Traverse when applicable. Kindly Stranger is great and should probably have 1 or 2 more. Mindwrack Demon is one of the best black cards in the set and helps turn on delirium, you should consider running it. I never found Fork in the Road to be needed in a 2 color deck. I also don't think this is the right deck for Abbey.
Anyway, those are just a few thoughts. Good luck on your Delirium build.
i agree about loam dryad and i cut it and two of the fork in the roads for Ultimate Price and Pick the brain because it is a slower deck but i'm keeping Cryptolith rites because i have so many mana fueled abilities like Grounds keeper and epitaph golem that being able to have extra mana is crucial i'm trying to figure out slots (and money) for mindwrack and Ulvenwald Hydra because the deck does need more finishers but in terms of acheiving delirium i'm not worried about it
I have considered splashing red or white; red for Molten Vortex and magmatic insight; white for the landfall angel that returns things from your graveyard for landfall but i haven't found it neccessary yet
extremely well especially once the gitrog monster is out i don't need to activate it's ability and it gives me fodder for chump blocking or westvale as well as helps with delirium when i want it to but i think the sideboards purpose will be graveyard returnal so i'm thinking things like reclaim,Ever after and necromatic summoning
Do you have trouble hitting delirium? I only gave it a quick count, but of your 5 card types I count 7 Sorceries, 5 enchantments and 4 instants (and of course 19 creatures and 24 of lands).
actually no because the vessel of nascency puts an enchantment in the graveyard and other cards as well creatures are very good at ending up in the graveyard and evolving wilds sticks a land in the graveyard as well and instants and sorceries end up in the graveyard anyways
so this deck ceased to be budget a little while ago as many decks do that you own for a long period of time do but anyway for anyone here with a bit more in there pocket then most of the page we got this
I personally like Tireless Tracker for your list more than Sylvan Advocate. With the Monster, you're gonna have a lot of lands ETB and that's gonna make for some serious clue generation which will keep even more cards coming to hand.
Also, have you considered using Eldritch Evolution? Your 2 drops turn into Mindwrack Demon and (if you make the change) your Trackers turn into Ishkanah and Gitrog. I personally like it better than Traverse or Evolutionary Leap in a list like this where you have such obvious targets to search for.
I haven't considered eldritch evolution and you make a good argument i think i might cut a traverse, and evoltionary leap and i do like tireless tracker in there as well maybe cuttin two advocates however advocate is a vigilance creature which in play is unbelievable
Some very powerful budget cards in the G/B color combination right now are Grapple with the Past (don't leave home without them! so good), Duskwatch Recruiter, Haunted Dead, Distended Mendbender, Gnarlwood Dryad and Wailing Ghoul (I know it looks bad, but graveyards need fuel). Try throwing some of these in there. I posted a budget GB deck of my own in another thread; take a look if you'd like. Good luck!
