As such I like to brew with it. Each format, I build a classic RDW. In addition to that, I like to build Budget versions which stick to the essential rule that you cannot include Rares. Aka No Rares Red.
With the release of Shadows, a fun little Red deck has been made possible. Red Werewolves Win:
Maybe some subpar choices. You could go down a more stock route of Bushwhacker and such, but surge doesn't play well with Werewolves, and it's more fun to gives these decks a flavour theme when possible.
With that, some notes on card choices.
The obvious ones are the Werewolves which are actually fairly solid.
Berserker and Ember-Eye Wolf give the deck a way to use excess mana without necessarily playing cards for the turn. Berserkers in specific make the deck a bit better vs control.
There are some hard to block creatures which seemed great to load up on the flavourful Call aura. And Uncaged Fury makes the pump and trample more explosive.
Other than that, I've included some cheap removal. Sparkmage's Gambit is a nice dual purpose card that can work like a Magmatic Chasm or a Twin Bolt depending on what you need.
Anyways, hope someone might like and enjoy this sort of deck.
