Well, we can use my clan, all the members that were in it are no longer playing MTGO, so it's empty and ready to use. Going through the Clan process is a little bothersome, so might as well use one that is ready to use, lol.
As for running the league, I would look into using Gatherling.com as it would provide a way for us to keep track of records and stuff.
Last question about the budget, what prices would we use? There is Heirloom tournaments that use MTGOTraders.com prices for their deck limits, so that would probably be a good place to start.
Found a perfect way to check to see if your deck would be legal within the budget.
If you go to tappedout.net and enter your deck, there is an option on the right hand side that "Checkout @ MTGO: Dollar Amount" and if you click on it, it uploads the deck to a vendor to give you how much that deck would cost! Quick and easy.
I plan on being there, but it's always hard to say with life getting in the way.
There is several different options that you can use for a deck in that price range. Mostly just can't use Planeswalkers and with the new common dual lands and uncommon tri-lands in Khans, makes it easy to play three color good commons and uncommons.
Right now I'm looking into Abzan agro and Sultai Delve.
Definately Interested! MTGO name should be the same as this one. Relatively new to MTGO. Barely have more than the starter pack in terms of cards available.
Was anything decided on making a clan, or using the existing one?
Would also greatly appreciate any assistance in making a mono g, g/w, or g/b deck. It's been a long time since I've built a deck.
I'm interested in joining. It's been a while since I used MTGO though. About a year or 2. I don't even think I have standard legal cards except for reprints lol.
Edit* I started theorycrafting now, will go Mono G Stompy or Big Red
Hey everyone. Sorry for the lack of activity on my part over the past week. Im waiting on time warner to hook my internet up. Im happy to see so many responses from people wanting to get involved. Id like to jump right in to getting our league going as i think people will have more fun with some kind of structure to go by.
Proposed format for the league is as follows: (and is not set in stone)
25 ticket budget
5 matches a week against 5 league players. If behind you may play more matches to catch up if able.
Post your win/loss and opponents.
2-0 = 3 points
2-1 =2 points
1-2 = 1 points
0-2 = 0 points
If anyone has any suggestions let me know. Im no expert on any of this. I just like to play magic
Its not that the idea died so much as people havent been logging in. I would very much like for there to be active participation in some sort of playgroup. If people could actually commit we could get SOMETHING going im sure
I'm in for this. I've been playing budget UW Heroic (basically no fetches or temples) for the last month or so and am enjoying it. I'm starting to get the brewer's itch (no, not a yeast infection ) and the 25 ticket limit sounds perfect.

As for 6-9pm on Wednesday, what time zone? I'm central time. Also, is there a place we need to check in or something or do I just add people to my buddy list on MTGO and send challenges?
I ended up getting a Rakdos minotaurs whip deck. It was 13 tix on tapped out, but I got it from the MTGO Bazaar bots for 5 tix. So now I have two appropriate decks for budget standard.

And would we be keeping track of our games here, or is there a different place for all of that?

I got some games in with my Minotaurs against some random people, but nothing related to this.
