Alright so me and my play group have made a challenge for the release of M15 next week that all 5 of us have been assigned a color (I got green) and we all have to make a standard legal type 2 deck when m15 is released and we are all limited to a 100$ using TCG's prices.
That's the challenge: make a 100$ mono green deck when m15 is released using TCG's prices that is type 2 legal.
There is a TON of hot looking cards to choose from the only problem is I NEVER play green so I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm a timmy kinda guy who doesn't know what to do without doomblade/o-ring/mana leak/lightning bolt. Green is the only color I have NEVER played, so I need help lol.

Whoever got black should he happy. That aside, deathtouchers aren't needed. Just mono green devotion it up and beat face. Nissa is fine. Skip phytotitan.
When M15 is released next Friday won't kalonian tusker fall out of rotation?

I want as many naturalize I can to smash the person who is playing white because I know they are doing a heroic/enchant deck. right now I'm troubled with what to do with the polukranos, world eatersylvan caryatidboon satyrnylea, god of the hunt and if I choose to play 4 world eaters that leaves me with 14.32$ to spend on sylvan's, boon's, nylea, and what ever # of naturalizes I can squeak in there to fill the remaining 9 slots. I do like the hexproof mana pumpers (sylvan's) but they are 4.80$ each and I can only buy 2x with my remaining 14$. Nylea and Boon work nicely with Eidolon of blossoms giving me card draw and boon is only 0.32$ each. Would this deck even be viable with only 2x sylvan caryatid? or does not having a 4 pack break it?

I've seen that and thought about it but I worry with the deck i'm working on now ^^^ I could end up shooting my self in the foot with all the enchantment creature I would have thus I'd op to run naturalize instead.

Fair one, I wouldn't main board it either but having it sideboard could be very useful. More for the fear factor than anything else. Have it in your SB and just bang on about how it's ruined Standard pre-game
Thank you ^ I'm trying to assign priority with the limited budget which bad ass card make the cut.

You need to take replacement into account. Polukranos is good but there is a 40 cent replacement in deadbrudge goliath and at 1 cmc and 20 cents more, you get the desecration demon slaying arbor colossus. A fatty like polukranos is replaceable. Card advantage like that is not. Make sure to board enchantment hate against as well as some fight spells. Green is lacking in removal.
Try to jam 4x caller of beasts. I find Polukronos is not needed as more than a 1x or 2x in devotion.dec. Sylvan Primordial is also the tits in this deck...T4 primordial generally means GG, and it's very good against Control because you can blow up D-spheres and Banishing Lights. If you find Courser is too expensive, I would skip it and just go with Reverent Hunter. Arbor Colossus is amazing in your deck as well.
Nev and Quacker I appreciate your input now I'm on the fence of what my green devotion deck will look like. So many option :/

Alright I took out polukranos in favor of a 10-25 cent alternative. You guys are right, even though his monstrous ability is sweet and it can remove pesky dudes, he wasn't integral to the decks synergy. I also swapped golden hind's for sylvan caryatid's because they do the same thing but sadly the hexproof bonus isn't in my budget. Now what is left is to make up 5.75$ somewhere to put me at or under the 100$ limit, but where? I'm thinking I'm going to drop Nylea as sad as it is to a single copy of her in the deck she is my favorite

I personally would not hold hard on the coursers. You have to figure out what will help you the most for the lowest cost and the coursers are good but they are not it. On that note, I would suggest tweaking to tilt yourself more bomb heavy and I would mainboard some fight spells. You're not rg devotion that has access to Domri Rade. Perhaps setessan tactics? Lol. After you free up a little budget, I suggest genesis hydra, letting you grab gas and get ahead while on a body. Siding some stuff like kalonian tusker and whatnot against the more aggro matchups would be good. Sad that you can't afford scooze.
OK, OK. So with removing Courser that lease me 4x open spots what should I fill it with? 2x Genesis Hydras and 2x Setessan Tactics? And when up against aggro decks swap the hydras and tactics for 4x Kalonian Tuskers?
I knew back in the Scars block when he played white he was a HUGE fan of pacifismarrest main deck so I'm pretty sure I will see annoying garbage like that. Since then I have heard him talk about godsendsouldmender and possibly an ajani's pride made combo thing. He got real excited when he came across avenging arrow and smite. And I'm just waiting for him to discover how OP and broken banishing lightreprisal (against green that is), and seraph of the sword is.
Alex got black and I'm expecting the typical garbage : desecration demon + kill cards + discard + nasty stuff like that.
Rex got blue: Haven't event looked at blue standard lately since delver in Innastrad.

I guess what I'm just worried about is the first strikers and the grip load of pacifism's and arrest's the white deck is going to drop on my dudes. I guess it's a good thing I'm not playing mono green aggro because burning-tree and brush strider would be rendered useless. As long as I abuse nykthos and pump out a lot of dudes thanks to garruk my 6/6 fatties are just going to run over 2/2 and 3/3 first strikers and if I pack a play set of naturalize side board I should foil my friends white deck.

or whatever with barely any money spent. Side witchstalker for the black player. Etc, etc. Lots of options. Its so much better when you can splash red, though...
I usually play aggro (gobo's or vamp's) so kalonian tuskerburning-tree emissary into a brushstrider or another burning-tree emissary t2 (followed by reverent hunter t3 coming out a 5/5 is awesome all the while having evolved experiment one in the process...) really appealed to me at first but when I saw the white deck list and a bunch of first strikers it would just be suicide (I know scavenging ooze would pick up the slack but I would have lost tempo by that point if I'm counting on a oozy to ride me to victory). Devotion is growing on me, it's nothing like I have played before. Now seeing the interaction between voyaging satyr and nykthos, shrine to nyx I can see how abusive that can get. And in a deck with 30+ creatures garruk, caller of beasts really begins to shine. The utility of boon satyr is awesome. I like how multiple copies of burning-tree emissary can play multiple copies of it self for free if you have them in your hand. mistcutter hydra is good in any situation and has haste. Shoot, even terra stomper excites the 'timmy' me. Sylvan primordial nukes dreaded arrest or any pacifism that might be slowing me down and even a surprise elspeth, sun's champion if he can fit it in the budget. Arbor colossus wrecks desecration demon in my match up against Alex.

There is an easy way to beat first strike. Be bigger. But I digress. You can side back to nature to kill all the arrest enchantments. Without coursers, you won't shoot yourself and have enough budget for scooze and maybe some more bombs or caryatids. Remember that in the control or attrition matchups, genesis hydra will dig for garruk. For aggro, you couldvtry hornet's hest if you wanted to be funny.
I like the idea that with my deck with less enchantment creatures I could more safely and effectively utilize back to nature. And yeah you're right with the being bigger part vs. first strike. I was only worried about not being able to attack with burning-tree's, having to evolve experiment one to a 3/3 and having to wait around to pump up scoozy until it was safe for him to bash face if I went aggro. Even then as long as one of his first strike dudes didn't have an enchantment pumping them up, a kalonian tusker would run them over With coursers out of the picture I'm trying to imagine what the upper end of the deck will look like. Trying to figure out which bombs to pick and how many copies of each when I do. :/

and to fill in the rest:
4x genesis hydra (helps me 'yoink' garruks or anyother utility fatty I need at the time)
2x setessan tactics
3x sylvan primordial (nuke's surprise elspeth's, serves as double duty nuking pesky enchants, or a land if there is nothing else better to blow up, and gives me a land :))

Or 2x scavenging ooze and 1x back to nature because I know what I'm up against.
