I have been playing RDW for a 3 or 4 months now. I wanna change things up a little bit by going to R/W BURN
I only have 7 to 10 ten dollars for upgrades.
But this is what I have for now.....
Eidolon hurts you more than it hurts your opponent. Phoenix still has its uses.
If you want to go burn, then be prepared to go Mono-Red. White is good at a lot of things but dealing damage or destroying creatures aren't some of them. White slows the game down because White is the color of stability and survival - Pacifism is an example of this.
What should I replace Eidolon of the Great Revel with or just run Phoenix on my main???
I only use pacifism cause i can't buy chain to rocks right now.
Depends on what you want your second creature to do. An always good candidate for replacement is young pyromancer. Eidolon isn't a bad choice conceptually. Just depends on your meta. Plenty of people use it and use it well. Also, I like skullcrack in mainboard.
Chandra, Pyromaster I just looked it up at the local card shop and they have it for 9 dollars.
And now I need two more spots to fill on the main board. ANY IDEA'S?? it will help
Flames of the Firebrand can be a mini-sweeper against decks with lots of 1 toughness critters, or do all 3 to the face, and the versatility can really help.
Peak Eruption is probably good in the mirrormatch and against RDW and such, a decent sideboard option.
Boros Keyrune might be good against some creature lite enemy decks or as an emergency blocker that isn't usually vulnerable to creature removal. It's basically like a bad variation on Mutavault.
Enemies with greedy mana bases, like lots of 3 color decks, may have trouble with Burning Earth in your sideboard, especially if they side-out a lot of their removal due to thinking they are just facing burn.
Mindsparker is probably really nice against certain types of decks, like blue/white heroic, but is a really fringe choice that might not land or last long given the colors it is up against, sideboard only if at all.
Satyr Firedancer can help protect you against smaller creatures when the opponent doesn't have a lot of removal by turning your burn spells into joint burn/removal rather than dropping your clock whenever you try to deal with a creature.
I'd strongly suggest some artifact/enchantment removal in the sideboard like Revoke Existence, since you are running white, just for the occasional big issue like a god, or some kind of enchantment that screws you up by gaining the opponent a lot of life and isn't vulnerable to most of your burn, like Courser of Kruphix, Nyx-Fleece Ram or Primeval Bounty.
If you don't side other creatures, I'd suggest siding anger of the gods if you are worried about any sort of aggro though as Avalon Aurora noted, flames of the firebrand is another fine choice. I wouldn't suggest celestial flare on that mana base. Elixir is also excessive. I'd suggest young pyromancer, satyr firedancer, or something aggressive. Maybe searing blood to main, wear // tear to side if you don't like that.
