I missed the part where every player only plays one format. No need to get snarky. What I'm really wondering is what exactly they'll be streaming, if there's going to be an emphasis on specific players or formats, etc.
This was the first time I've watched team match play, and I have to say it was very enjoyable as they switched back and forth between formats. It was fun seeing each deck type in action all at once.

RNA Standard: Grixis Midrange, Jund Deathwhirler, Sultai Vannifar
GRN Standard: Red Midrange, Mono-Blue Tempo, Wr Aggro, Gruul Experimental Dinosaurs, Sultai Midrange, Jeskai Midrange
Modern: Bant Spirits
Forcing a single archetype in all formats: too many colors, bad mana.
It's a team format.
Do the math.
3 player team, standard/modern/legacy, one on each format.
Modern: R Skred -- WBG Melira Co -- URW Nahiri Control
Legacy: R Mono Red Burn -- UWB Stoneblade
Commander: R Krenko, Mob Boss -- WUBRG Scion of the Ur-Dragon -- WUBRG Maze’s End
Other: R No Rares Red (Standard) -- URC Izzet Tron (Pauper)
A man ahead of his time.
In other news, good luck to the people from Sally participating -- even if you're not playing the "true" format: standard.
