Pro Tour Kaladesh is Standard. It will take place 10/14-16.
Day 1 coverage will begin at 3:00pm ET with a draft, standard rounds are unlikely to start before 7:00pm ET (anyone with a more precise estimate for the start of standard, please chime in below).
Day 2 coverage will begin at 3:00pm ET with a draft, standard rounds are unlikely to start before 7:00pm ET.
Day 3 coverage (top 8) will begin at 3:00pm ET with standard.
RB Aggro
Vehicles
Grixis/Rakdos Mid Range(control)
G/W something(new Nissa and Gearhulk seams to powerful to not see)
Aetherworks Marvel *wild card* Will either look absolutely busted or inconsistent for tournament play
Yeah, Boros copter doesn't look to have good enough ways to deal with the hate, at least the dwarf version. RW artificer is a bit more resilient since it has more high toughness creatures that are strong against early sweeps like Kozilek's Return, though people might catch on and use Radiant Flames instead, which basically wipes the field of everything except for Weaver of Lightning.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
It's weird because if you remember the SOI PT, Bant Company was all the rage coming in, I think winning both SCG Opens leading to the PT. It was the remains of the old 4 Color Rally Deck. And it got crushed at the PT by season's past and crypto aristocrats IIRC...but then a strange thing happened. Alot of the decks that did well didn't last in the meta. It will be interesting to see if the decks tuned to beat the obvious Copter-plan will have legs until Aether Revolt.
PT metas tend to be a little bit inbred. Those decks could be good against the "best deck" and bad against the field, but it doesn't matter since half field are on weird techy decks. That and if the best deck can adapt, it will post PT, and it can have a resurgence as a result.
As far as the pattern, I wouldn't draw too much from it. It does happen where the level 0 deck breaks out early and then gets hated out. Sometimes it comes back, sometimes it doesn't. There are other examples where the obvious deck is clearly the best deck from the get go and PT doesn't change anything.
I really like how they have changed the top 8, so the top 2 is in the semi, and the top 4 are in the quaters and 5-8 is in 1/8 final. So they will be less draws, in the final rounds.
r/g energy
b/r agro
and something with haunted dead and prized amalgam, whether that's emerge or something like b/r or u/b zombies.
Maybe a delirium deck, but I haven't been impressed with them lately, I really want it to be good though.

If MTG is a part of your life, the formats are like relationships:
Standard/Block = The on-again, off-again holiday fling
Modern/Vintage/Legacy = Stable, homely. A ***** after absence/misreading
Limited/Sealed = Heart breaking free spirit
Commander/Cube = Agreeable, needy and expensive
Pauper/Peasant = Sweet, kind, practical, but shy and boring
I feel my most accurate prediction...People will complain about the coverage team and not watch the draft portion. I myself will be in the second camp.
forums are a dying medium of social interaction across the board
It doesn't help that people are less invested in Standard these days. It's pretty tough to become invested in a format that undergoes rotation every 6 months. And, my preferences are towards powerful spells, Standard is a world where threats are better than answers which just isn't as exciting for many people.
4 decks finished 9-1 in the standard portion, ALL of them White-Blue Spirits aggro! So many players (and pros) underestimated that deck (I've been playing it since EDM, so I feel vindicated a bit).
Makis over-extended hard against Carlos. Think the pressure may have gotten to him. He could have taken some of the games he lost if he had held back some reserves and maintained pressure with what he had on the board.
Well, glad I was playing spirits last season because it looks like UW spirits finally took off along with URx. Still building both BR copter madness, though. That deck is just too much fun to ignore.

In the guessing for SCG Open Indianapolis, Nevelo and Remba seemed to me to come closest, but were only about half correct. Can we do better?
Guess which archetypes will be in the Pro Tour top 8. Please just list your choices without arguing or commenting on other people's choices.
My guesses (complete with shameless plugs of forum threads):
-- hoser2
RNA Standard: Grixis Midrange, Jund Deathwhirler, Sultai Vannifar
GRN Standard: Red Midrange, Mono-Blue Tempo, Wr Aggro, Gruul Experimental Dinosaurs, Sultai Midrange, Jeskai Midrange

Forcing a single archetype in all formats: too many colors, bad mana.

I'm surprised to see RW still performing well. Everyone expected it coming in, and it wasn't among the most played decks.
