I just started playing magic again after taking a break for a while. Last time I played standard, I played the turbo-fog Maze's End deck. I was wondering if there was a deck currently that had some sort of goofy way to win or a funny strategy in the same vein as Maze's End?
What's the dumbest-strategy-that-works right now?
Iva actually been tinkering with a RUG list that tries to use Pore Over the Pages as a combo engine. The goal is to throw a Weirding Wood on two different lands, then your Pore basically costs one mana, since the lands that it's untapping produce four. Things really get going if you exile a Giestblast that you discarded previously to copy Pore. Exiling the Giestblast actually NETS you a mana, since you're getting four mana for the three cost of exiling Giestblast. This makes the whole interaction free. If you have out a flipped Curious Homunculous, you net a mana because Pore becomes free. If you discard another Giestblast, you can exile it to copy the original Pore, you net another mana. You can keep this chain going for as long as you discard Giestblasts or draw into more Pores. Eventually you can cast Fall of the Titans to deal 10+ damage, possibly even copying it with your last Giestblast to win.
Honestly, it's a pretty bad deck in this format, I've lost twice as many games as I've won. But it is fun and convoluted.

Also, like Kpal, I recommend the 40 Lands deck. I put one together on that thread that's only 30 lands, but it's still super fun.
