With the recent lands that have dropped out of standard, people are really having to stretch their mana bases. Bant is 3 colors (4 if they're using the colorless "splash"). I see lots of new deck builds that are 3 and 4 colors. Would it be possible to disrupt or in some cases devastate these decks with some sideboarded land destruction. Granted, there isn't great land destruction since it starts at 4 mana, but it seems like you can build a deck that beats WW/x and sideboard land destruction to deal with most of the rest of the field.
I've been toying with the idea. Crumble to Dust could be a great card. It answers abbey, it gets rid of duals, it does a lot. The trouble is T3-T4 are really crucial turns, and if you can't play the LD till T4, you may be too late, and it takes a lot of commitment to play it T3. I've been having shower thoughts of a Boros LD deck in standard, but not sure still. The ramp is Naya, but Boros may work.
I have a couple of decks I'm looking at playing right now. Both have the potential to play a 4 mana land destruction on the 3rd turn which makes it more helpful, but I think a good land kill on turn 4 could be just as hurtful. I think if you wanted to make some sort of aggro LD deck, you'll probably need to go RG instead of RW. That's gonna be your best way to hit them on turn 3 instead of turn 4.
I have resorted to putting 2 Crumble to Dust in my sideboard since the Demonic Rites deck has come out in force on MTGO. It removes the need for me to deal with Westvale Abbey for the rest of the game, something that Jund has a super hard time to deal with once it's flipped if the opponent plays smart.
