I think this is a really strong card, and has yet to be effective abused. Its not quite a Monastery Mentor or a Young Pyromancer, but definitely has similarities and I think in the right shell could be a pretty awesome card. It is similar to Thunderbreak Regent in that it triggers off your opponents spells too, which is really nice.
I think there are probably some decent shells for this card in all colors, white has counters, and cheap protection spells and Always Watching, which doesnt trigger it, but makes it a 3/3 vigi trampler.
Black has some awesome synergy in the fact that it can do silly things like "Altar's Reap targetting my own wolf token in response to decalring wolf token as a blocker".
Red could combine this with Thunderbreak Regent, and some common prowess spells and make a weird, but nasty aggro deck.
Blue has fun things like Slip Through Space and Altered Ego, and I'm sure there will usually be better things to clone, but hes not bad especially if you have the mana to put some counters on him.
What do yall think, and whats the best shell to break him?
I've been working on a Werewolf shell with him, Zada, Hedron Grinder, and a bunch of werewolfs and pump spells. Expedite targeting Zada basically reads draw X cards and put X 2/2 wolf tokens onto the battlefield where X is the number of wolves you control for one red mana. Working on making it more consistent.

Sorry, bucko, but Altar's Reap doesn't target (the word "target" does not appear in its text box). I mean, you can just sac the token for cards, but there are both better things to sac and better things to do with those wolf tokens.
I think the best place for this is a 2 or 3-of in a dedicated wolf/werewolf in order to draw removal away from stronger threats. As a 2/2, it's pretty squishy. Given Standard's card pool, a deck focused around abusing its ability would most likely end up as an inferior version of the heroic deck, which was a glass cannon archetype in the first place. A Partisan version would be even frailer, since it relies on a single card.
Yeah, I realized the Altar's Reap thing a little while later.
I still think it can be a pretty fun deck though. Could fit into a R/G pseudo prowess deck running the normal R prowess creatures and pump spells with some green pump.
I considered this as well, if you have enough self target spells in your deck, it doesn't even have to be about wolves, you can just insert both.
Green Machine anyone?

The red mage lives by the variance and dies by the variance. May the variance be with you, always.
White has 3-4 1 mana pump spells that look pretty good, plus access to Dromokas command, some lifegain, and some two mana utility pump spells including a rebound one.
White also has anthems, and an Anthem + wolf lord + Elemental Bond = give every pump spell a cantrip.
Black has discard to help keep him alive, as well as some pump spells, small lifegain, draw, and plenty of trick spells and keep him alive spells.
Surprised none of you have noticed how well Silverfur Partisan and Zada, Hedron Grinder enhance each other. You not only copy your single target spell for every creature but every wolf makes a token.
Edit: I take that back ziggy did notice, I looked over his post.

Rabid Bite also works really well with the Zada combo, even if it is sorcery speed, each of your creatures then deals damage to all opponents creatures and get more wolves. This doesn't even depend on wolves, Zada and board full of anything works well with bite, the wolves just give you an added benefit of getting more wolves.

That actually doesn't work. Read Zada closely, it must ONLY target him. Rabid Bite targets him and another creature. It doesn't get copied.

I think Atarka's Command and Swell of Growth together might make this worth considering in a wolves deck, or at least, a R/G aggro deck with some wolves in it.
Could you possibly empty your hand of lands if you copied a Swell? Or at least, how many Scry's could you get from a Titan's Strength? Copying spells is fun.
Edit: regarding the zada combo with rabit bite, I would bet that after Zada triggers, his text indicating the spell must target your other creatures overrules the spells text, its one of those cases where "Unless another card dictates otherwise" type of moments in MTG, I might be wrong, but ask a judge.
Cryptolith rite along with village messenger and confront the unknown or center soul within the first couple of turns can provide some mana acceleration and protection. Maybe when zada, hedron grinder comes out you can do something crazy with confront the unknown or expedite . Feels like a lot of things need to line up right though.
If you could pull off WRG then you could add in stuff like Survive the Night although you still have no way to dodge Languishes. I also especially like Center Soul as both evasion and a counter to removal.
well the dream scenario would be Silverfur Partisan out and then using Dromoka's Command on two of your wolves, killing one of their creatures/enchantments and getting two more wolves in the process.
I hope that this card fits into some type of awesome deck, because it has been my SOI curse. In each set, there is inevitably some card that I cannot quit opening. For SOI, this has been Silverfur Partisan.
