I'm going to a pretty big event on 4/16, and as part of my preparation, I try to have sideboard plans for what I might expect to play against. With the new rotation, I'm not sure what to expect. So far I have:
G/R Eldrazi
Any type of Red Aggo
Bant/4-Color Collected Company
G/W Midrange
Esper Dragons
And... that's about it.
Anyone have any insight on what I might see at a bigger tournament, so I can prepare for them?
I know you said any type of red aggro, but I think RB madness Vampires deserves a mention. I havnt tested it myself, but theoretically it should goldfish turn 4 wins consistently.

Unfortunately, the theory doesn't hold up. The deck is often pretty inconsistent and there are games where you can do literally anything and kill them because they're too busy durdling around with overcosted spells and slow creatures.
This is a list in last standard that didn't use Khans or Fate cards. I would imagine you could play a few Westvale Abbeys too - why not?
This is not a list from a tournament though - not tweaked at all, and not by me. It could be missing Matter Reshaper, Void Shatter, Hangerback Walker, and maybe other things. I'm pretty sure Endbringer is a poor choice.
R/W Eldrazi
R/G Ramp
B/W Midrange
B/W Control
U/R Control
G(x) Rites
W(x) Aggro/Humans
G(x) Collected Company
THere's also a B/W Eldrazi list. While it could be folded into Midrange, I feel it's probably a different sort of list enough that it's worth a mention.

That's unfortunate. I guess I can see how that would be the case though. Draw madness cards but no enablers, or vice versa. I was really thinking that was going to be the deck to beat right after rotation.

Anyways, these are pre-rotation decks but contain basically 95% of the same creature base.
Thanks, I totes never thought of that!!
