It's not hard to "overcome" an opponent that's stuck on 1 land for several turns. I praise Wilson for his skill in getting him to the finals, but that last game had nothing to do with personal skill.
I've only ever really seen Wilson play Legacy before this event, but he's a murderer with RUG Delver. They're both fantastic players. The first two games really showcased that. On the last game, I think we've all had gut check keeps like that. There is always a chance that things aren't going to break your way. That's just part of the game. Both of those guys and anyone who plays competitive Magic knows that going in. On hands like that, sometimes it's go big or go home.
Personally, I would not have kept that hand, strictly because of the sole basic forest. Had that been a scry land, I likely would've kept. Had I been on the draw, I might have kept. Had I been on the draw and it had been a scry land, I 100% would've kept. Then again, I'm not the one playing for $10k+ on a regular basis, so what do I know.

Currently playing:
Standard: I, for one, welcome our new rhinoceros overlords
Modern: Pod's dead, Bob's back.
Legacy: Lands, Deathblade, Death and Taxes, Elves, MUD
Retired Legacy: Merfolk, Goblins, Jund, Delver, Reanimator
I love how Jeskai Heroic took 1st place at the Standard Open. Makes me wish they had covered that event instead or additionally. Also two RG aggro decks with 4x Thunderbreak Regent in the top 8. And mono-blue devotion in 21st place!
