My worst match ups is against lifelink mono white.
A guy at FNM runs Ajani's Pridemate, Soulmender, Ordeal of Heliod, Divine Favour, Oppressive Rays, That 0/4 wall that gives life, Nyx Fleece Ram, Mass Calcify and some other creatures and stuff as well i cant remember.
The thing is, he gains a lot of hp and fast, he also gains a lot of counters on ajani pridemate and his walls are rather tough.
If it were black spekks i coukd heros downfall or murderous cut. but with red he usually has too many counters before i can hit him with a damaging spell.
Yep. Just like they said. Storm breath can put a hurting on him. Every deck has a worst matchup. This is probably yours. Just be happy there are no you have shroud or hexproof guys around.
Build a sideboard with extra land and lots of dragons.
I thought about playing Shivan Dragon in the current standard myself.
I mean with overcosted removal and slow decks a giant pumpable flying beater just seems good right now.
In a slower midrange red Devotion type deck Shivan Dragon could be really good. I think 2 or 3 Twinflame and Stormbreath Dragon seems like a good plan against Mono White.

Well obviously you'd want to have 4 Stormbreath before considering other options. Forgestoker Dragon is nice too I think as it can cut off blockers. Chandra, Pyromaster also good for that.
Red has many options for getting through wall strategies they're just midrange cards.
Mono red aggro is never going to beat a wall/lifegain deck. That's just the truth of the matter. That deck would lose to almost everything else though. Obviously the person that would build such a deck just hates losing against aggro more than they like winning.

I think a lot of us have played against that type of player. I Remember this one player( I used to get Match up against a lot and always Defeated. They informed me one day when we got pair up that I wasn't going to win this time. I said why is that and they answered because I built my deck just to beat you. I lost that match.
I've been guilty for slipping in a turbofog deck every now and then. Hey, that's meta gaming that's part of the game especially if you playing in a smaller Venue. Sometimes if you get on a roll it's smart to switch things up every now and then too. That's why I work on a lot of decks. I know a lot of players play the same deck until it rotates out.

Yep when everybody stopped playing control at my LGS I was left with a bad deck that went from being a 3-1 allstar to being a 1-3 dud.
Metagaming is very real. Some people like to stick to a deck, I like to brew on occasion too.

also life gain is anti aggro.
any advice?
Your best option is to take to the air. Sarkhan, dragonspeaker, stormbreath dragon and ashcloud phoenix.
I think hoping that you dodge his deck is a good enough option... his deck just counters yours... but his deck is really bad against other people.
Pioneer:UR Pheonix
Modern:U Mono U Tron
EDH
GB Glissa, the traitor: Army of Cans
UW Dragonlord Ojutai: Dragonlord NOjutai
UWGDerevi, Empyrial Tactician "you cannot fight the storm"
R Zirilan of the claw. The solution to every problem is dragons
UB Etrata, the Silencer Cloning assassination
Peasant cube: Cards I own
What's your decklist?

I built Maze's End because I didn't ever want to lose to a Sphinx's Revelation.
