I'm under the same assumption, Ruxin. I was watching midway through the Top4 and was rooting for Jadine. I really hope she pulled it off. I loved her minimalistic approach to Mono Black. I also think 26 lands is the correct count. Hopefully, someone will chime in here quick and update us as I am very curious to know who won the finals.

that was some toguh breaks in the finals, i think the real showing this weekend was nightviel specter over lifebane zombie showing a metagame shift away from monsters.

Edit: My bad, while calling someone a troll is considered flaming, in hindsight it's obvious he's joking.

its fine apparently i am a terrible person for pointing that out. i have been reprimanded by the holy mtgsalvation mod staff for my sins and now know that "troll" is on the list of words never to say at grandmothers house. crusader.... you are a good person and people say nice things about you. have a good evening all before i get reprimanded for my behavior again.
For me it casts serious doubt on the strength of SCG results.

Hasn't that sort of always been the case though? When you have almost half of the Top 25 leaderboard at the GP as opposed to the Open, which do you think will boast the stronger competitors.

Actually, the recent SCG Open and Invitational results aren't all that different from the GP results. Lots of B/x Devotion in the Top 8, U/W/x Control, and to a lesser extent G/x midrange decks.
The difference is that on the SCG side, mono-red has been making it into the T8 lately, and so far it's three-for-three in winning SCG events. However, this makes perfect sense! The top-eights are being dominated by Mono-Black and U/W, and both of those decks have horrible matchups against hyper-fast red aggro. Hard to say why this didn't happen at the GP, though it appeared there was more Mono-Blue at that event which may have been enough to knock out the red decks.
that's my line of thinking as well... i played a daily with one of the winning lists and legitimately lost to just master of waves... somebody went t1 raptor, t3 thassa, t4 master and it didn't matter how slow that opening was my deck was just drawing dead once master hit the table. maybe they should have given fanatic of mogis pro blue to give us a fighting chance.. idk its a little sad that certain archetypes were just killed off by a single card.
mono red cant beat master of waves.
G/W aggro cant beat pack rat.

Mono Blue Devotion
:symu::symw: U/W Control
Jadine Klomparens won the finals. Not a fan of the new website though.

Lovely finals matchup, though. Also, Blum won the finals, not Jadine. Was roooting for her after she beat Adrian Sullivan, though.
I did and ended up in the top 100, but sad to say just one or two losses too many to top it

Just kidding lol.
I'm sorry about that, we all make mistakes.
