I saw a pretty good simic devotion deck a while back when GR monsters was the big deck. It was basically a mono green nykthos ramp deck with 4 mainboard garruks, but instead of the usual red splash for domri rade, it splashed blue for kiora, cyclonic rift, and urban evolution. It was as pretty cool deck that would definitely have some explosive draws.
The best advice i can give you is to not listen to people on this forum. This place is full of bad advice as far as deck choice goes.
Basically if it isn't a tier one netdeck copypasta'ed from starcity or TCGplayer tournament lists, most of the people here don't know anything about it. Because a lot of people here lack imagination and seem to think that every FNM or local tournament is like and idiotic PTQ or SCG open which are two of the worst places in the entire universe to play magic.
However OP, I have played simic personally at FNMs which is what i will assume you're looking , The simic deck i play is this:
I have been doing well with this build. Now your mileage may vary dependent on what players in your area play. my FNM is mostly midrange decks with a couple of control and aggro players. so I'm somewhat well matched.
As for eyeownyu's comment, if you ramp to infinity and draw buckets of cards and still lose most of the time its the player not the deck. And as far as removal goes this deck has plenty of it. and GU also has counterspells available which are the best form of removal there is preventing things from happening in the first place.
GB Constellation GB
UB Control UB
Modern
Tarmo-twin RUG
Legacy
RUG Delver RUG
Miracles UWR
It will never be a serious color combination because UG are the colors without removal spells.
You can flash creatures in, ramp to infinity mana and draw buckets of cards and still lose most of the time.
It's the most fun you'll ever have with a ***** deck.

I can see Simic Flash can work well in competitive scenes also.
