Yeah, apparently there is a connection issue, unfortunately. I just loss my connection a few minutes ago as well. I was really hoping to watch Weinberg play. He's a great player. I just transitioned over from Mono Blue to Mono Black, so I'm trying to watch as much coverage as I can to perform better with the deck although it really isn't that hard to play. Mono Black is much easier than playing Mono Blue in my opinion because it doesn't have as many intricate interactions among its cards. Mono Black is also much more forgiving if you make a mistake -- not so much in the case of Mono Blue.

It may not have as many interactions among it's cards (mono U has SOO MANY TRIGGERS lol)... but that doesn't mean it's easy. It still comes down to making the right decision at the right time. Of course if your opponent plays 4 duress and a thoughtseize in the first 5-6 turns like Ben just did then yes you're gonna have a bad time. However... knowing what you're against, how their deck works, and how you should pilot yours is a lot to think about.
Yes, apparently a crusade of fellow Magic players whom are protesting against Mono Black being the top deck in Standard have come in force to take down the Boogeyman. Haha! I am sure the feed will be up shortly following a brigade of Selesnya and Mono Red Aggro players, and if we're lucky, there may even be some showing of Unexpected Results and Chromanticore!

You are exactly correct! I agree, choosing the right cards with Thoughtseize and Duress is considered to be an artform that sets apart the men from the boys when playing the archetype. There are vast consequences when choosing the wrong cards, and doing so will completely change the dynamics of how the rest of the game is played out.
Well, I did call it right on having a Selesnya Aggro deck in there, but yes, U/W Control (especially U/W running Elixir of Immortality) isn't very exciting to watch. Haha!
This matchup is a nice change from the typical BvU
Too bad he absolutely threw game 1 in the garbage with it. Could of had Kiora Ultimate and forced opponent to have Dsphere which he didnt draw into much later. He had Kiora, Ral Zarek, and Domri against lands and lost
LOL at using Kiora on Ashiok and then not being able to attack it
Happens when you're playing a relatively new deck that hasn't been established yet.
I guess /shrug....He still would of been fine if he had played the mana off the top for Aetherling with 2 blue mana up. It is an interesting deck. Domri didnt do much of anything in any of those games though. Seems like Kiora, Jace and Ral Zarek would be better maybe but then again its base RG monsters so if you were building around the PW it would probably just be a different deck altogether
He should have done a lot of things differently, and I have a hard time buying the excuse of playing a new deck when he should be aware of what his abilities on his planeswalkers are. Planeswalkers are a card type that can be extremely vulnerable in a number of situations and not knowing what each ability does, especially when it is one designed to protect your walker, is just sloppy.
When he had Elspeth down to 2, he should have just overload mortars and tick Ral up rather than trading a Ral for a and elspeth on a board he was so far ahead on. He was going to overload the mortars anyways and he has enough meat plus valid Kiora targets to stave off damage.
Why do people play 3 or more colors in a Standard where the only duals are temples and shocklands? If you do choose to run 3 or more colors, R/W Burn can and will make you pay dearly.

Which is why R/W is gaining popularity - because it takes advantage of that fact that people are using life as a resource with shocking themselves.
And given the resources in standard right now color fixing is fairly easy. Notice 90% of decks that need the color fixing (because the third color isnt just a splash) run caryatid, courser, or enough protection to stabilize a third color.
4 and 5 however feel like too many. I don't understand why you would want to run something like 4 color midrange when 3 colors is viable... it just takes up space in a list that could already be tight as it is...
Erik Finnegan could have just won there!!!!! Ghor-Clan and Boros Charm on monstrous Fleecemane. Don't know why he waited a turn. That cost him the game. Should've just gone for it when Eric Smith was tapped out.

Lots of blood baron and ghost dad floating around today... (or at least more than normal).

Also he should've just played that Breeding Pool untapped, stop protecting your life total against Esper Control.
