With 8 snakes, don't you think the Trolls are overkill? It is honestly the worst card in your deck by far.
It seems like you would have Edicts covered by the massive amounts of value creatures you're running, like War Marshal and Nest Invader. I feel it would take a sweeper and an Edict to really deal with your board.
If you're really that concerned with Edicts, Young Wolf would be a great sideboard card for you. Actually, it would be a great mainboard card for you! I would just cut the trolls for it, I think. Skarrgan Pit-Skulk would also be great here.
Nice deck. I like seeing a Gruul home for Burning-Tree Emissary that makes sense. I bet this deck kicks butt!
Troll probably is, but having T2 means it ignores sweepers (and shrivel ignores regeneration).
Young Wolf seems like a pretty cool replacement for troll though, I will try it out and see if I like it!
The deck is pretty great, very good against both control and aggro. I have made about ten different gruul decks but they are always good against one or the other, the snakes are good everywhere.

Looking at this deck again, I think I would play around with the mana base to skew more towards Forest than Mountains. Your regenerators are green-hungry and you have a lot more green cards than red cards anyways. Not to mention that BTE fixes your mana anyways. I think a 6-10 split might make more sense. You still have 10 red sources that way, but have more green to help pay for multiple regenerations. If not, a 7-9 split is also possible.
Have you thought about Faithless Looting in this deck? It can help you get out of land pockets and fuel your Mongoose. If not, a whopping 32 creatures means Lead the Stampede will make a great draw spell in your deck.
You are absolutely right about the lands, I will follow tour advice!
I tried faithless looting in a previous iteration that ran werebear, and I didn't much care for it. Being an aggro deck means the consistency is already high, the selection ability doesn't make up for slowing down your plays and giving up a card.
Lead the stampede looks great! How many do you think I should run?
