While Jace's Phantasm is a good card for Pauper, I don't think this will hinder UG thresh/madness too much. Those decks still have ways to deal with threats. Either way, my UG Delve deck can empty the graveyard to keep Phantasm weak.
Not sure if it's a typo, but apparently Bladewing the Risen has been downgraded to an Uncommon! Not sure what this means for the Peasant format since there isn't big Dragon tribal presence, but a Legendary being Peasant legal is awesome! (Unless it's one of those crap legendaries from the Legends set).
Ahh, usually "the jig is up" means the end of something. Jace's Phantasm only gets big if an OPPONENT has 10 or more cards. That's why I thought you meant it was good counter tech against Thresh. It's a good beater/blocker for a mill strat or against decks that cast a lot of spells.
The Sage is occupied with the unspoken
and acts without effort.
Teaching without verbosity,
producing without possessing,
creating without regard to result,
claiming nothing,
the Sage has nothing to lose.
Darksteel Axe is downgraded. Bonesplitter is better cost-wise, but it we ever see something like Ensoul Artifact in Pauper then it's good to know we have Darksteel Axe!
Guardian Idol caught my attention. This is probably as close to Mutavault that we can get in Pauper. I'd really like to test it in control decks and see how it feels.
Jace's Phantasm is huge. It will most likely make a nice secondary win condition in mill decks. Even in undedicated mill strategies, it should be fairly easy to turn on with removal on opponent's creatures and stuff like Thought Scour. I see this making big waves in Pauper.
Dissolve is pretty sweet, but it's still not Dismiss. One day, Wizards, one day...
With Furnace Whelp, there will officially be 4 Dragon cards at common. None of them are particularly impressive, so these don't seem like interesting downgrades for Pauper unless I'm missing something.
Seeker of the way is an excellent card that shouldn't be underestimated. Should give control decks with White a little push to have a good win condition that also keeps them in the game with life. I like it!
Jaddi Offshoot is also an interesting downgrade, though I don't see it making a huge impact on the format. 1 life per land is not enormous, though it can make a difference in a game if played early enough. I'm sure a deck out there wants it and it's a great addition to the cardpool for brewers out there.
Compass enters tapped, so it will probably not get played.
Mythic Spoiler has survival cache and ivy elemental at common. Cache is amazing, 3 mana draw 2 for white. Abzan Battle Priest is one of the few lords in pauper, it might make counter tribal a thing.

I think I am going to try a mono blue delver deck first, with tome scour and memory sluice in over ninja-faeries. Getting a 5/5 down quickly is going to be amazing.
Also plausible for an UR version with book burning.

Survival Cache is just about one of the best spells White could have downgraded in terms of generating card advantage. This will definitely give White a competitive push, making it a "life matters" colour more than ever in Pauper.
Wight of precinct six got moved to common. High synergy with jace's phantasm and is kind of a common black goyf. Bog meta shakeup coming, with black getting a creature that gets better the more aggressive the opponent is.

Pauper: UB Wight Phantasm RB Burn UR Faerie Rites of Initiation
Wow the commons are looking absolutely crazy. I really wonder how many of them will be seeing serious play. Wight of Precinct Six seems generally powerful in a control shell and could end up being even bigger than Gurmag Angler. With this and Jace's Phantasm, I could see people using graveyard hate on themselves just to shrink the creatures.
Red got pretty screwed over because of the dragon theme, unfortunately. At least White finally got some love.

If these cards take off then I do think we'll see more of the unused Delve cards in decks. Logic Knot will definitely come back into the format.

Dragon theme pushed with at least a few cards, and Compass is a reasonable mana rock, but nothing particularly exciting.

this was the first card that stuck out at me...figured this would be great for any mono-green stompy/elves strategy in pauper.
