I'm looking to get into heirloom and I was wondering where I should to check for card legality. The Google Doc and the Heirloom: Legality Checker
both have conflicting information at times. For example: the doc has Progenitus as legal but not according the the Checker and vice versa for Karakas.

Checker is the Bible. Google Doc is outdated a bit at times.
All I know is that the last time I tried to play Desecration Demon was in Singleton 100 and they gave me a game loss and made me change my deck in the middle of the event. Which made me salty because it gave me no warnings in Gatherling that the card wasn't allowed.
To me, the banlist appears to be rather confusing due to the front page, the deck checker, and what it is supposed to be all being different. Is there a way to fix this? (ie. Cloudpost is banned but the front page and the legality checker say it is legal)
Agree on all your points about different legality lists.
As to the Misthollow Griffin? That has been brought up and discussed. Griffin was initially in an oppressive listing. Several weeks after the release of the Scoure, i brought this up. We decided to wait and see, immediately the old archetype master won with the new card. It hasnt been oppressive since the initial appearance but it always seems in contention when the original player shows up with it. A few others tried and ultimately had mediocre results and have moved on to other decks. So maybe it is a good time to let TLR ponder this again, but with the just announced ban lists and don't expect much until next rotation, if the deck stays at a mostly unplayed state.
Yes, I agree the different lists are confusing. That's why I will create a new thread in order for me to control the first post and keep confusion out of here as much as possible. I'll admit the checker still having cloudpost was a mistake, I forgot to remove it.
As for the Griffin still banned, well, I'm not sure if the deck that plays the scourge wants them both (I believe not), but Griffin might be better. The deck's strength is the recursion in the late game, so 3 or 4 mana is not that big of a deal, but flying and not having the "sac when targeted" clause might make the card much more desirable.
The deck itself is very resilient, hard to fight and put some results. With this rotation, cloudpost was banned, Pod rotated, GW and Burn lost key pieces, so I'm not sure if making it a bit stronger is desirable. Not planing to have another very dominant deck in the meta soon. Unbanning the card won't allow a new archetype/deck, the deck doesn't need a push, so banning would either do nothing or just do more harm, so for now, I'll leave it as it is. But sure, if scourge doesn't put up results, it might see an unban in the future.
TBH i wouldn't be against seeing Fact or Fiction revisited... Although it would probably also go into the UW cawblade shell. Control without Post seems anemic at best. I should be back this sunday. and maybe even friday and ill bring some new creation but to me Control seems very weak now.
Saheeli is up to 16 tickets each today lol. glad I bought that playset for 1.5 tickets each for my heirloom deck. I just paid for my next 10 decks.

Interesting cards rotating in
Plus many more amazing new cards along with Cloudpost banned and Burn losing key parts look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with

Additionally, why is Misthollow Griffin banned? Eternal Scourge is legal and doesn't pose a problem
