I'm sick of losing because my decks aren't up to scratch. I'm not a terrible player, not the best by far, but not terrible. But my decks kill me. I'm sick of having to mulligan because I don't have enough lands, I'm sick of getting destroyed by affinity and control decks.
I've decided, because my frustration is so great, that I'll be willing to invest a bit of money into a Pauper deck.
What I need to know is; what is the absolute best Pauper deck under, say, 100 tix.
About Frox: for nearly 10 years, Frox has been helping women look good and feel great in easy-fit, mix-and-match, and work-to-weekend with just a few pieces by helping them make the right choices when it comes to clothing and accessories.
No single deck will cost you 100tix, so you can just build a few and see what you like.
MTGstats is a good website if you want to see what the metagame looks like and which decks are trending in and out of favor. That can sometimes play a role in determining what is the best overall deck at a given time.
Good decks right now include izzet post, mono black control, delver, etc. There are many good decks
To be fair, pre MM Infect was nearly 80 tix, but any of the pauper decks that are getting 4-0's are good. Personally I've seen a lot of goblin lists at the top and I think there is a lot of hate for them, but they could be showing up just because a lot of people play goblins.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.

I think goblins is a good choice -- people may hate this comparison, but it's kind of like faeries was in standard. It's inherently powerful, has great synergy, its best draws beat basically everything, and it's fairly resilient to hate cards.
Yes, if they bring in a TON of hate game 2-3, it can be difficult to win, but the raw power of the deck gives you a lot of "free" wins as well, so it's kind of a trade off.
If you're looking for a deck that is reasonable, relatively inexpensive, and has game against the field, I would suggest goblins or MBC. They're just consistent decks that will always finish relatively well in pauper due to their consistency and overall power level.

Id have to say Goblins or Storm. But, Storm is one of those decks where you win on turn 3-4, or you lose. I've been playing storm lately, and while it's fun to do unfair things goblins might be better. Although, maybe I'm just bad at storm.
I've been playing Goblins for a bit and I actually find the deck challenging to play. When to save your Sledder, Death Spark Rotations, you can easily loose games on 2-3 points of damage the wrong way.
I'm really enjoying the format more than I ever have though. It's the first format I've played where I actually have 2 decks and I'm looking at getting a 3rd one.

Have a helicopter drop you off out front. Light your cigar with a small Indonesian boy holding a black lotus. Then bust out a craw wurm deck with no sleeves. Raw dog shuffle, loose terribly, flip the table, leave in a hovercraft.
Pauper is a great format cause so many decks can place well. No single deck that I've seen just straight loses to another archetype, and after sideboard each deck can be tuned to beat its worst matchup. For example, UG Fissure Post has a pretty bad game 1 against aggro. After sideboard though, Moment's Peace can shut mono G out of the game until a board wiping Fissure hits followed by an Ulamog's Crusher.

If your budget is 100 tix, you can probably build every tier 1 deck in the format or close to it.
You could build a lot of the cheaper decks like Affinity, Stompy, Goblins, White Weenie for under 100 tix. Delver lists and Post lists can get pretty high up in price depending on the cards you use though (things like Serrated Arrows, Prohibit, Cloud of Faeries, and Daze all carry hefty price tags). Mtgostats lists Delver decks as $56.30 on average but I've seen them go as high as $70ish while Post is a bit cheaper but still fairly expensive.
Anyways in answer to the OP's question I would say that Delver is the best deck you can invest in since it has the best matchups across the board, however depending on your play skill and play style it might not be the best deck for you (for me personally I find Goblins much more enjoyable and I'm a lot better at piloting the deck than I would be at piloting Delver).
As a combo-Johnny and Spike, I highly recommend Wee-Fiend (I am also the guy who started the revival of the deck ). Most fun deck in pauper. 10/10 double strike on turn 3? What's not to like about that?

I would vote for UR Post. It's super consistent, recurring glimmerpost/ghostly flicker gives it huge game against aggro. Sometimes affinity can get you if you don't draw a Flame Slash/Electrostatic Bolt for their Myr Enforcer, but It's the most well-rounded deck imo. Delver is pretty good against it however.

Check this list out. His is probably pretty similar. I wouldn't recommend playing it though; it loses to just about everything besides Green and White aggro decks, assuming the opponent is reasonably decent.

Thanks for the pointer. When you say "it loses ..." do you mean the list or do you mean the archetype?

As a strategy, Dragonauts is extremely weak to spot removal, which and have in great quantity, and somewhat vulnerable to counterspells, which you'll get from every deck.
It's still fun, though.

Oh, you think the losers' bracket is your ally, but you merely adopted the scrub tier. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn’t 4-0 an FNM until I was already a man; by then, it was nothing to me but an extra pack to sell for store credit!
That's not even remotely accurate. Can you please stop spreading this nonsense in every topic?
I concur. I think you've lost a few too many times to Post decks and you might be bitter about it. Post is a control deck, and once they have control they should win. The solution is simple: always keep them trying to get control. When they stumble and miss land drops or have to make suboptimal plays just to stay alive another turn, they lose. If they never get control then the aggro decks run over them.

this thread is about the best deck in the format. my opinion is that post is the best deck in the format, not that it can't be beat in an individual match. best deck in the format means the deck over time that wins the most against a typical field.
if you come to the conclusion that that's any deck other than post right now, that's fine, but you're wrong.

U/R post is the answer to this question regardless of what deck the question is asked about
wanna beat delver? u/r post.
wanna beat affinity? u/r post
wanna beat stompy? u/r post.
wanna beat mbc? u/r post.
wanna beat familiar storm? u/r post.
wanna beat goblins? u/r post.
wanna beat hexproof? u/r post.
wanna beat u/r post? u/r post, several of your best good luck charms, and the strongest stimulants you can find so as to attempt to beat your opponent on time.
what a joke this format has become
EDIT: Also it's hard to justify Post as the "best" deck without some objective data rather than an endless stream of histrionic badfeels.
