Does Grapeshot need to be banned? Every time I play against Storm it feels like I'm just sitting there until they got off on turn 2/3 with it. Empty the Warrens is more fair because you can interact with it in anticipation of them playing it along side Goblin Bushwhacker with stuff like Electrickery/Echoing Decay.
Are there any cards in the format outside of Safe Passage that can stop you from auto-losing to Grapeshot?
Counters and Discard are generally the easiest way to stop Grapeshot. Beyond that for actual hate, Benevolent Unicorn, and Prismatic Strands are hate cards for white weenie. If you are Mono Green or Mono Red grapeshot can be hard to interact with other than just destroying an early land before it happens.
I would argue that the reason Grapeshot is so good at the moment is that people have went into hyper aggressive goldfish style decks instead of more interactive decks. Hatebears style white weenie fell out favor for Hawk White Weenie, Mono black rats and burn (which is actually a pretty rough matchup for Grapeshot storm) fell out of favor for stuff like Stompie.

I made the arguement that is anything in Storm needed banning/restricting it was to be grapeshot and I think its been said, but warrens has easier to get counters... i think grap has it right, that its gained a lot of power because whats popular right now doesn't have good answers for it... in turn the decks that deal with it well don't really hold well against the other big names so not much can be done, but that's usually how it goes when it comes down to that rock-paper-scissors game
