There are always a lot of people playing pauper online, and pauper tournament
results are kept on the decks of the week list.
Would you like to see archetype threads like paper formats do? If so/not, why?
Would you participate in them, or even watch?
Do you think these types of threads help you play?
Do you think these types of threads help the tournament community?
Thank you for all the help in gathering decklists so far. Feel free to add decklists and/or links to the thread.
Edits: I'm starting to add archetype decklists, adding them gradually in my free time. Deck lists are just samples and not the "ideal deck list" for each type. Decks are also for MTGO pauper and don't consider standard or extended formats. Top 8's are decklists that appear frequently in the top 8 list in the decks of the week article at Wizards. Good Decks are decks that make an appearance in the top 8's every other week or so. You may see these decks in tournament play. Honourable Mention decks may occasionaly appear in the top 8, or used to be top decks. You may see these decks in casual play.
As I mentioned here, I would like to see the Pauper subforum get a bit more of movement and attention.
So yes, I really would like to see some Primers thread and such. There is already great number of players playing Pauper in MTGO currently, and a bit more of easily located info would make the format even more accessible.

I rolled 5 D6's and got 3 fours. They must have changed the odds of getting a 4!
Though I don't play MTGO, I'd definitely like to see more coverage of Pauper.
I'd be willing to comment, post builds, and read whatever wacky, off-the-wall experimental deck ideas people come up with.
I have a several friends who used to play Magic and would like to play again, but no longer have cards and/or don't have the money to buy new ones. Paper Pauper seems like a really good way for them to get their Magic fix without having to sink any significant amount of money into the game... Especially since I have boxes full of extra Commons begging to be used.
Yes! Pauper is an awesome format because it's so diverse (and cheap :p). I actually prefer it to Standard by far, as the meta doesn't focus around a few decks. There are like 12-14 top decks atm, and they are constantly being tweaked against each other. The only thing that I don't like is that it seems to have so little support form the online community. I would love to see the sub-section get some love, and maybe a bit more traffic.
I think moe traffic is what we need. Even though there are a lot of pauper players out there, it seems like there are vey few people that care to discuss pauper in here.

Inside Out
I have posted decklists for these.
I have not yet posted a decklist for these.
I need a decklist for these.
I am always looking for new decklists of common decks.
Last week's Top 8 was a bit of a shake-up with no black decks in sight.
1 Goblins, 3 WW decks, 2 Red Burn, 1 GW Slivers and 1 GW Aggro deck made the show.
Are there any more popular decks gong around? There are also the daru/nomad deck's I've seen. I've seen some Boros BW's out there,
but I have yet to see one similar to the one I play. I've beaten some MBC and GW Slivers with it but
I still don't know if it's worth an honourable mention, though it is fun to play.
Any comments on these or any other decks you may have noticed?
Just faced a domain deck with Matca Rioters, S-T Elder, Kodama's Reach, Tribal Flames, Rolling Thunder, Krosan Tusker. Seemed decent. Anybody play this or have a decklist?
Were you playing casual or tournament? It sounds like this deck might do well in casual to me. Tribal Flames is awesome.
Control still is a bit of a pickle for it though, I would guess, but then again control is just annoying anyway.
Also, as a kindly reminder, autocard is good for everybody.

I am half interested in getting into Pauper, and seeing some Archetype threads would be very useful. A MWS tournament would be a good place to start.
I think that if someone just goes ahead and does either (write a primer or post signups and run a tournament) then things would fall in to place.
I run weekly paper tournies if you're ever down in Winnipeg (usually not pauper, though I have), but I think I might look into what it would take to run tournaments online.
Though I'm not going to write any primers, I am going to assemble deck lists for each of the archetypes I mentioned earlier. Then, if there is enough interest, I'll see what we can do to get each archetype its own thread.
Here is my Esper Artifact Aggro deck (made more awesome then reality). I have actually come up against this a lot on MTGO, and been told I was unorigional. I was surprised, as this is a modified version of Relicsofdoom.dec from Duels of the planeswalkers. Its very effective, and fun to play. The key is to know when to hold on to an artifact, and when to play it. I am actually missing one of each of the artifact lands, and substituted a border post for them.
I run one that uses Arsenal Thresher and Glassdust Hulk with and affinity cards. My idea is to play Etherium Sculptors to get the hulk or thresher out early, and then keep playing affinity artifacts to keep the hulk
unblockable. I also use the posts because they seemed like a good idea at the time, and I kept my deck UW. But anyway, I have
never seen one that's like yours anywhere (and have not played DotPW).
I don't think anybody who reads these forums, or even plays against other people, can be completely origional due to influences
that are everywhere. I also don't think anybody can be very unorigional because everybody has his or her own learning curve and
play style. Some people net deck and adopt a style to play that deck. Some people just come and browse for ideas to modify or
a deck to suit a style. Some people just look for things that work from here and there and make a completely new deck that still
has its infuences from all these other people. Usually these are extremes and most people are somewhere in the middle.
It's not about origionality, or about creativity, but about finding a deck that you like to play, and that you can play whether it's out
there or not. If new people are coming to pauper I feel there should be a place where people can go look for inspiration. Maybe
some people played goblins in 2003 and have been away from magic since. Then they want to play MTGO and are on a budget.
They make a deck and find it doesn't work well online. Then they come and find Pauper Goblin Archetype thread. Maybe they copy
a list and have a great time playing, maybe they modify their deck with cards they didn't know existed and have a
great time playing. This is why I want decklist threads. I was there not long ago, and I'm trying to help out the people who come in
here after me, and the people who are already here.
Tournament people already have decklists and concentrate on their sideboards. This is another reason why decklist threads are
good. People can talk about their lists and sideboards and figure things out that they might not be able to figure out individually, but
tournament people know this.
Decklist threads are good, and if we support them, we will get them.

Briefly here is what I know about the format:
Best decks seem to be:
MBC
MBCu
Mono R goblins
Followed closely by:
GW slivers
WW
Gu Elves (really mono G with 3-4 Distant melody supported by a couple Islands and 4x Birchlore rangers)
Storm combo
This about sums up what I have seen. But I am sure I am missing something, and I would love to have a primer to read

The way to pilot the deck is to answer everything your opponent does early game through your toolbox, either via draw or using Dimir Infiltrator.
You need patience with this deck to pilot. Do not worry about losing life although just keep your life in check.
Overall, it is a fun deck to pilot although games with this deck take eons to finish. Its also competitive.
