I 3-1'd in the daily, yesterday, that started at 9pm EST and it would be nice to give BRW deck some credit in the statistics. In fact, i know another BWR deck 3-1'd, also. This is my third 3-1 that went unreported in the tournament stats.
Not saying BRW is a beast, but the 4 or 5 guys I've noticed running the deck, in addition to myself, are placing, but only in the PM daily's that seem to never get reported, its odd.
Yeah, they made the change about a year ago and there was a pretty big outcry at the time, but WoTC felt that publishing all of the lists was contributing to metagames being "solved" too quickly.
Fwiw, there were three BWR lists that placed last week out of 95 reported decks.
Do you think it worked? This metagame feels less "solved" than at the same time last year. It's hard to tell if it's just the cardpool or the lack of data though.

Some facts of magic:
-Terror is an emotion which, when experienced, results in death.
-The pox was a disease notorious for having killed one-third, rounded up, of Europe’s population. Smallpox, on the other hand, killed only a single person.
-A person riding a horse cannot be stopped by foot soldiers, large animals, walls, archers, or even catapults.
i have no idea, my gut feeling it that it's more to do with the card pool but who knows. bonfire and a few other AVR cards had a ridiculously warping effect on the block metagame last year, ditto ponder and phyrexian mana spells on standard, it's basically impossible to tell the real reason for both formats feeling a bit more open this year than last.
The Post AVR meta was horrible. Even I thought 50%+ Wolfier mirrors was stupid.
They spent more time on the block since all 3 sets were in it this time around. The lack of data helps, but the better card pool matters more.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.

Got it, thanks. Thats really annoying, though.
