It's a style we play at home we call it warfare there's about a dozen of us and we use the cards that are legal in the vintage format but in a commander game does anyone else play like this?
It's like brawl but instead of standard use vintage example of how we play
40 life per player in one on one
100 cards minimum
4 cards of any name maximum except basic land
cards are limited to what's legal in vintage
and you must have 1 commander per deck rules for the commander cards/zone are the same as commander
I am curious as to how decks like these run in comparison to traditional commander decks, as the closest I have come to this is taking my 80card elf deck against the 2014 Elf precon commander deck. That precon plowed through the homebrew starter commanders, but with so many playsets I shut the commander deck down far too easily. So on even footing I'm wondering how the typical battle fares.
It's harder I faced deck once blue black and green with 45 land between the counters and the controlling abilities of the cards and enchantments and with 4 of each card it was a ***** trying to win it's basically commander still just have 4 each card except cards that are banned in legacy idk why I put vintage most players around me don't deal with vintage I meant to put legacy
