I have google-searched this but it just comes up with articles from 2010 or so, and I'm assuming that the software of choice for recording is different now. I've literally never done anything with video on my computer before (just bought my first webcam recently which I have yet to use for anything). Basically I want to record matches in MTGO so I can review them to figure out gameplay mistakes I'm making. I'd like to have it record my voice in the video so I can say what I'm thinking as I play and have the ability to review that as well. I'm assuming there's a way a webcam can record only audio and somehow overlap that with the recording of the MTGO match.
So what kind of software do I need, how do I do it?
Your replays are saved on mtgo. Most of them will work. Obviously there's no sound.
Make sure you have a microphone. Download a screen recording program. Use the program to record your replay with commentary. Then you convert the file to a format that youtube likes and upload it.
Personally, I think it is better to record live, rather than during a replay. I think that most people seeking out videos prefer this as well, though it could be wrong. However, there are a number of glitches that emerge in replay that also make me want to avoid it (things like Electrolyze doing 1000000 damage and ending the game for no reason, when that didn't happen during gameplay) I use the free version of BBFlashbackExpress to live-record the games for my Youtube channel (the link is in my sig).

I always use Acethinker Online Screen Recorder to capture gameplay for my YouTube Channel, it's a free web-based app that can record computer screen right from the web browser, works pretty well for me, you may check it out.

I use camtasia to record my replays.
