you know if the bots in the MTGO are with some problem ? I'm trying to buy cards and they just respond ( when I pick any card they don't say the price or take my tickets...) !
The "wikiprice" bots have all been broken for me - just as OP has described it - since the switch over to the new client. Its kind of disappointing - it was nice looking up prices of various bots on mtgowikiprice.com and finding the best deal, etc. Since the transition I now primarily use goatbots, and have no complaints.
Please know that MTGO is down for scheduled maintenance on wednesday morning/afternoon and that you cannot log in during that time. Do not post questions about server status here during downtime!
This is a replacement for the outdated "Can't download kicker" thread. If you are having a problem that isn't a wotc issue (reimbursement et) post it here and we'll try to help. Please be patient it may take some time for someone to answer. This is NOT an official support thread.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
So I'm having troulbe launching the client. My internet is working, I'm watching a stream currently, and the server is alive and well. The error message I'm getting is titled, "Magic the Gathering Online: Connection Error" and reads, "There is either a probem with your internet connection, or the server is down for maintenance. You can check the Magic Online's server status at the http://www.wizards.com/magic/digital/magiconline.aspx
The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occured on a receive."
How do I right click using the keyboard? I'm running MODO on my mac using bootcamp and it didn't download the trackpad utilities and I only allocated 30GB of memory for Windows 8 that takes up roughly 22GB. And to download the driver requires more memory than I have left available. Any help would be great as the ORC was no help.
How come this client runs so painfully slow when you dont have top of the line specs? Im using a Toshiba Satellite C55t-a5222 Laptop, which is not the finest machine by any bunch, but still a recent PC that was released within the last two years.
The new client keeps crashing on me at least once or twice a day and lags constantly. I just dont get it. Im not running anything in the background really and this game is not graphically demanding. My internet is fine since nothing else gives me these problems. Im getting a new PC soon but not really just because of this. V3 ran decent enough and it never crashed on me at any given point.
Everything is lagging, but especially anything to do with the Collection screen. Changing filters, adding or removing cards to the Active Trade Binder, and confirming trades with bots, all freeze the program and bring up the Windows box that asks me if I want to close the program or continue.
Before today, I could trade and draft or play at the same time. Now after each trade, there is like a 20 second freeze. When I add cards to my Active Trade Binder (which is just under 50k cards) there is another freeze of about 20 seconds. Also, during drafts the sound of getting a new card and the card showing up are not synchronized now. During gameplay there is considerably more lag too.
I've tried rebooting and restarting many times. Restarting somewhat helps against the memory leaks, but has NOT solved most of the lagging.
MTGO is now barely playable on my system (i7 laptop with 8 gb RAM), when before today it ran fine. I tried asking the ORCs but they said they didn't hear of any similar complaints.
So is anyone else facing a much slower client after today's update? Or is it my computer going crazy? Thanks for feedback.
Thanks! I tried searching on Google for other people with the same problem, but couldn't find any posts from today. That Twitter conversation really describes my problems well - the client is hanging for 10 to 20 seconds whenever ANYTHING related to the card collection happens. And as usual, when I asked the ORCs they said no one else has reported this problem
I'd think a card game shouldn't take up more CPU and RAM usage than GTA IV on my laptop, but what do I know. I don't code myself but my brother does, and he says there must be more memory leaks in the MTGO client than in any full release software he's ever seen. I mean, when brand new quad core or even octo core computers can't run the client for more than 2 hours without restarting it to clear the memory, there's something seriously wrong.
I can't even get MTGO to load with this new build. I've been on the please be patient while loading screen for 15 minutes now. So much money wasted.
I've gotten the same problem, with the yellow box up and waiting forever. If it takes more than 5 minutes, close the program and restart it. When you get past the 5 colors spinning wheel, then wait at the yellow box for about 2-3 minutes. That's the longest it took for me when it successfully loaded. Give it a few tries, waiting a few minutes each time, and you should get through.
That sounds crazy, but it works, at least for logging on. Liberal artists and not engineers built this client...

Yeah I got it to load about an hour ago. Just in time to miss entry into the daily event I wanted to join. It's like they just don't like my money or something.
That twitter post specified clicking and dragging items. I'm a right click and select kind of guy but I've tried both - each time I get a pop up error announcing that the client will have to be closed and would I like to provide feedback. After the 30th or so attempt since 8/20, the feedback has gotten a bit more provocative.
Multiple triggers controlled by the same player during upkeep will not stack (e.g. Aether Vial and Mishra's Bauble, two Aether Vial, or two Mishra's Bauble). MTGO will not allow me to stack them, there is no window showing the triggers, and I can't stack them automatically through options. The game locks and I'm forced to concede. This problem started a few days ago and it hadn't occured for some time after the last update. MTGO is now unusable for my deck.
I am not able to install MTGO on my PC. I'm running Windows 8.1 and I have plenty of hard drive space and sufficient RAM. All that happens is an error message appears saying "An error occurred attempting to install Magic The Gathering Online." If I click the details button all I get is the following:
IIRC, you need to delete the MTGO files from under your user/AppData directory. (Note: it is hidden by default. Type something like C:\Users\Your-Name\AppData\ to start browsing it.) The MTGO is probably under Roaming, but search the folders and delete everything you think is relevant. You can keep your deck lists.
I think moving massive amount of cards works when you freshly start up mtgo. If you have mtgo on for a while, trying to select all cards and move them won't work.
I have done the uninstall under control panel, then %appdata% to delete anything with wizards, then the rundll32 clear cache thing.
It just keeps happening and I do not know what to do. I also made sure to restart computer multiple times.. Any help?

What's going on here and how do I fix this?
I was kind of hoping it wouldn't come down to that, but I'm going to have to try this when I get home.

Has anyone had this issue and been able to resolve it? I can copy and paste the log file if that would help.
MagicExceptionType: ApplicationConfigurationException
What is wrong and is un/installing it the only option?
Active For Trade 76 Lands: 0 Creatures: 47 Other: 29
Select All + Remove Selected
Active For Trade 65 Lands: 0 Creatures: 41 Other: 24
...................shrug
If only things that didnt work, actually didnt work, that would be better.
Things that "work" a little bit is FAR more annoying.
