So 2 tickets = 1 M12 pack with victory, or 10 tickets for 5 packs in the gold queues. Of course, M12 packs sell for a whopping total of marginally >3 tickets in the classifieds, meaning you'd need to win nearly 2/3 of your matches to go infinite.
Am I missing something, or is there absolutely no value in doing queues, other than to practice with something on the line when there are no DEs to participate in?
For one, you're only looking at 2 man queues. The 8 man queues hold more value. 2 man queues are good for testing and little else. Also, you're looking at Pauper queues, which award M12. Standard and ISD Block award ISD packs, which are slightly more valuable.
DE's are the way to go. 6 tix to enter, 3-1 = 20 tix, 4-0 = 40, unless you're playing Pauper, wherein the payouts are just slightly less.

hold up gonna have to disagree here. The 2 mans and the 8 man's have the same ev. The 2 mans take in 4 tix and output is a pack. THe 8 mans take in 48 tix and output is 12 packs. The 2 mans are not better or worse than the 8 mans. Also yes the de's are better than the 2 or 8 mans. However new players take note, pauper and momir pay out the Msets. This will never be better than the std payouts and rightfully so. Even when the Msets are the newest set std will payout in it as well. Right now payouts are at 22.2 tix for 3-1 a std de 40.7 for 4-0, pauper is 18 for 3-1 33 for 4-0.

Are you sure? I thought you would get at least 3.50 for a pack.
But I do see your point. In an ideal world, the prize should be 4 tix.
EDIT: There's a thread titled Going from TP Room to Queues - How & When do you do it? on the same page. You might wanna check it out.
