In relation to this schedule, I wanted to participate in the online PTQ on November 14. My question is, since I've both never participated in one and I am rather new to MTGO, do you have to sign up previously, or does the event just pop up some time prior to the official starting time in the premier events section and you just join in the same way you do for any other event, 8-man drafts and so on? Also, do you have to be very quick? I see there's a player maximum, does it get reached rather fast? If so, could you tell me how much earlier does the event appear?
Thank you =)
Usually you'll see them appear after the downtime in which case you can sign up then. You have to have the product in hand to sign up. The player limit is pretty high, and people who can't stay for the whole thing won't sign up so in my experience it's not as bad as say Release Superdraft which fill for the whole week immediately. I wouldn't wait until the day of to sign up. Of course I've never played in one at peak times (The last one I played in was Sealed starting at 6am EST on Saturday).
Perhaps someone who has played in more than I can answer better on how fast it fills.

Out of the blackness and stench of the engulfing swamp emerged a shimmering figure. Only the splattered armor and ichor-stained sword hinted at the unfathomable evil the knight had just laid waste.
You join up for it like any other non-invitation event. It's a good idea to at least sign up a few hours in advance, since it has filled up about an hour before start time in the past (not every time, but it has happened). You can find the event in the Premier Event room after the preceding downtime.
Thanks for the info guys... one last thing; when exactly is this preceding downtime you're talking about? (Considering Sunday 14 November as the day of the Event?)

THAT downtime! =) I knew about that one, but didn't know the PTQ would show up so much in advance. Going on with the noob questions, the event is indeed already up atm, but if I sign up and then log off, will the place be maintained? =)
