OK after I uninstalled and redownloaded it. While trying to install it, it errors out saying it can't download the TOS. Could this be a blocked issue? Maybe the island has the program/port blocked. Anyone tell me what port MTGO uses?
First, what kind of computer do you have? (This is very relevant, i promise). Is it:
A dual-core processor?
64-bit machine?
If it is a dual core, open up magic online, but DO NOT launch. Bring up Task Manager BEFORE launching the program.
In Task Manager, click on the Processes tab
Sort by user name, find magic.exe
Right click on Magic.exe and choose Set Affinity
Uncheck one of the processors so it only runs on a single processor. click OK.
Now Launch.
Magic.exe (or MTGO) will not run on a dual-core (or dual processor) machine unless you choose a single processor to run it on.
Also, it will not install properly unless you tell the install application to run on a single processor during the installation process.
If you have a dual-core processor, and you have tried downloading, and had issues:
Delete the Wizards of the Coast folder in c:\Program Files
Re-download the installer
Open and follow the above instructions to make it run the install on one processor
This should work for you. If not, let me know here or at ravenknight_2003@yahoo.com
Thanks.
