In games when I side in Night of Souls' Betrayal, do I take out all my Dark Confidants? E.g. against Abzan, Affinity.
The idea proposed by some players is that Liliana, the Last Hope effectively replaces Night of Souls' Betrayal, and since the matchups where Liliana of the Veil would be coming out and replaced by sweepers, the planeswalker uniqueness rule wouldn't be a huge problem. I'm not quite on board, yet. NoSB can catch you up if you fall behind against a lot of x/1s, where Liliana, the Last Hope will just die if you cast it onto a field of 10 elfs/lingering souls tokens/etc. But, it also has the upside of not killing Dark Confidant, or even more annoying, killing Tarmogoyf after a Relic of Progenitus get's popped.
If you let the board state get that bad without knowingly letting it get that bad with a damnation/anger in hand, you were doing a poor job and were going to lose regardless. Jund is supposed to 1 for 1 opponents (Duke Reid's words, not mine).
Except Infect sometimes has openings where it feels like they're going wide with multiple Infect threats and Noble Hierarchs played across the first three turns. It's fairly uncommon, but it does happen. Not to mention, Melira Abzan has a lot of recursion.
If we would be able to support blood moon better, I think blood moon would be better but its hard to play in jund I realized. It could hurt yourself more than the opponent. Against the top decks of death shadow and eldrazi variants, i think blood moon is better in a vacuum.
I guess I would still play Fulminator in an open field though.
@chaos021 I was wandering about that a long time ago, but certainly now with Probe being banned. Phyrexian Crusader seems like a great card I think, don't know why they don't build GB with that.
Its actually sad that we don't have to worry about Infect anymore, as it was a good matchup for us.
Fulminator's a necessary evil unless you wanna throw the Tron and Scapeshift matchups entirely and just hope to dodge them. That said, Fulminator has its applications outside of big mana decks. It's great against Burn and deals with pesky manlands from Affinity, Abzan, Jeskai, etc.

Even though it's just one side of the meta I was surprised how far midrange GBx has dropped popularity wise while looking at the online meta on MTGoldfish. Both Junk and Jund have dropped quite a bit but that's understandable with the presence of DSJ and big mana decks around. I never thought I'd say I'd miss the days of Infect and Dredge. Maybe not the latter but still.

I've thought about adding it to my sideboard but the card advantage they get from it is something I really don't like. I would rather run Surgical Extraction even if it requires the graveyard or Slaughter Games. I really like Crumble to Dust also for lands.

Ad Nauseam, Scapeshift are the obvious ones. Tron not so much. Could be OK against Shadow.
I've boarded it in against Abzan to take their Lingering Souls - not ideal but it's still an 8-for-1 if it's not in their hand and I had slots to spare anyway.
The potential card advantage is irrelevant if you strip all of their win conditions away in one swoop.
i think used in tandem with surgical extraction, it could really wipe out all of their end game. granted it's 3 mana and a sorcery, but the card chosen doesn't have to be in their graveyard to eliminate it from the game. idk, i really like it.
Being a Valakut Player, I've been blown out by Thoughtseize into Surgical, then Lost Legacy in the same game before. It becomes nigh impossible to win.
Lost Legacy is usually better than the other, similar cards unless the thing one wishes to eliminate is an artifact or a land. Add that up and I guess it spells "Duh".
Ensnaring Bridge is something one might want to get rid of, but it's less mana than the things that could hit it. Oblivion Stone is a thought, but there are things I'd probably want to get first in the Tron match-up. The Tron lands are tasty targets but neither Slaughter Games nor Memoricide can hit lands either and Surgical Extraction or Extirpate need help to be effective.
I've been using two Lost Legacy in the side-board and it's done reasonably well. I've used it to get Lingering Souls as mentioned above and it's a back-breaker for Mardu and it would have an impact against Abzan as well, I'm sure. Snapcaster Mage is a target I'd love to hit with it. No doubt, the list is extensive.
Lost Legacy might not be worth the slots but it isn't an awful card by any means.

Abzan Traverse / Traverse Shadow / UR Kiki
Blood Moon or Fulminator Mage?
I know that it may vary accordingly the played meta, but in a "open" field, which one to choose?
Tks!

Not really in a large, open field. It still shows up online and locally. I'm more suprised GB Infect hasn't become a thing.

Crusader is slow and Hierarch doesn't tap for B.
