Unfortunately, taxes decks already doesn't play fetches because of arbiter. This card can be a veeery good ghost stripmine+evolving wilds for 4 Mana, or a really bad 2 Mana ghost quarter. It is better than tec edge in either occasion, though. Don't think eldrazi builds (like mine) will use it because we play 3-4 basics... Also, turn 3 is critical when it comes to start landing several threats, we often don't have spare Mana to spend on ramp/quarter... Nd if you're in mindcensor plan, it is turn 4 already and it may not be that great anymore
2, T, sacrifice Field of Ruin: Destroy target nonbasic land your opponent controls, each player may search his or her library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle his or her library.
It seems like it has a home in the deck. Arbiter and even Aven Mindcensor could be justified. 8 serach hosers, and now 8 cards that snipes non-basic lands. How good do you think the new land is in a Death and Taxes shell?
It is very interesting, especially with no 4th land clause, but 2 mana can be a serious investment when you are already trading lands. If you don't have an arbiter effect in play it is way worse then tec edge. But if you are in magical Christmas land with 5 lands in play and an arbiter and you get to search and they don't it is awesome.
I agree with LtGlitter I think it is worse but will test it as a 3/1 split with tec edge or as a 9th LD effect.
It is a pretty unique build that ditches the taxing package (Thalia, Arbiter) for maximum blink value with: Eldrazi Displacer, Wall of Omens
and Auriok Champion (maindeck DS/Burn hate).
My thought is that that's not Death and Taxes. It could be called mono white flicks o flicker eldrazi.
As a deck itself, apart from naming, it's quite interesting and I would recommend Wall of Resurgence to animate the Flagstones and create with all the flicker effects a gigantic manland that gives you a plain if died.
Your maindeck list seems solid Tsunamii. Pretty standard list, but that has proven good results.
Regarding your sideboard, I would definitely add Mirran Crusader X2 or X3. It is very efficient against popular decks, such as Death Shadows and it sometimes sees play in maindecks according to the meta. Perhaps replace some of your grave-hate in your sideboard with Mirran Crusader? 2 Rest in Peace and 2 Relic seems a bit much, unless you know you're going to play against many graveyard-based decks.
I usually prefer spot removals to Stony Silence, as it hits our own vials, copters, clue tokens (and relic of progenitus if boarded in). I understand it is very strong against certain matchup, but I prefer cards like Disenchant, Suppression Field or Aura of silence and even Fragmentize, but that's my own opinion.
I also hope that Horizon Canopy will drop in price with Iconic Masters. These are much needed in my decks to help in long games.
I'm really hyped about the new land revealed, Field of Ruin! I'll definitely try them X3 in my Mono-W list! Or would 10 Land Destruction lands be too much?

10 Land destruction isn't to much, but the question is what it does to your white sources. Most of us run 8 colorless LD spells plus 2-4 colorless utility lands, (eg. eldrazi temple/sea gate wreckage or whatever) 9 plains and 4 horizon canopy or shefet dunes. This means you would have to compromise your white sources or give up utility lands and I am not sure how many is two few white sources but I would guess 12 is about the min.
Yes, I agree that it would restrict our white sources. As I'm not playing any Edlrazis, the colorless mana aren't useful to my deck.
What do you think about the following manabase:
This makes 13 white sources and 10 colorless. I used to play Sea gate wreckage, but as we have Thraben Inspector, I replaced it with a white source instead.
In mono white with new land I will probably start with 4 ghost quarter, 3 field of ruin, 2 tectonic edge. Can be a bit better versus tron (on play nuke tron before completed) and really highlight aven mindcensor non- symmetric ability.

The problem with ramunap is simple. It's a CMC 3 in a deck full of better CMC 3. Yes, the idea of LD like a madman sounds orgasmic but what do you take out to introduce the ramunap? And more important, how much do you disturb your mana base with it?
I wonder why I don't see any Ramunap Excavator in DnT lists..
What do you think about a splash for Ramunap Excavator in Mono White? I mean it's hilarious playing Ghost Quarter from you graveyard every turn with Arbiter or Mindcensor down.. or just getting Horizon Canopy back every turn..
I will try it but I am not sure about the landbase.. would 4 Razorverge Thicket be the best Option? or maybe 2 Razorverge Thicket and 2 Temple Garden? (have 2 Horizon Canopy)
The reason that we don't see a lot of Ramunap Excavator is that GW Death & Taxes isn't popular right now, and the reason it is not popular is the price of Noble Hierarch and Horizon Canopy.
@hekks you have to first determine why you are running either card and for what match ups. Journey to nowhere is more consistent and never offers my opponent tools to draw back into the game. It also has the advantage of flickerwisp tricks with the entering and exit abilities being separated triggers. And lastly, being able to use it aggressively and reset it later with flickerwisp also has major advantages.
This is not to say Dec stone is bad but it does not meet the requirements I'm looking for in the reasoning for my sb. If there was a strategy for dec stone, it would be competing with another sb slot. Not journey.

Hey catmix. I remember that you used to like fiend hunter. What's your reasoning for moving off of it and going to journey?
It seems to have a lot of synergy in this build with vial, flickering and smugglers copter.
Fiend Hunter is a main deck card imo. Using Journey means it's a turn faster and harder to interact with. Killing fiend hunter is such negative value especially part of an sb plan. Also I ran a ton of spellskite when I was running f hunter.
Hello everybody. I've been lurking in this primer for around a year, absorbing information and trying to find a Death and Taxes list that suits me best. After toying with it online for a while, I decided Eldrazi Displacer was just too powerful, and that card fits best in an Eldrazi and Taxes list. I've probably got about 100 games or so online with it, but I'm taking my list to an FNM tonight, and there's just something about playing a deck in paper. I'll give you all my list and a tournament report tonight, but for now, I wanted to highlight an Ixalan spoiler Inspiring Cleric. In my sideboard, I run two Kitchen Finks as a hedge against burn and aggro decks. I do run two Burrenton Forge Tender as well, but I know my meta, and I seem to run into a lot of non red aggro decks. Especially in a deck with four Eldrazi Displacer, I wonder if Inspiring Cleric wouldn't just do Fink's job faster. Sure it's a worse blocker, but 2 extra life guaranteed is pretty great and also she's only 1W. Lone Missionary seems okay, but for some reason the 2/1 body has always seemed useless to me in combat where a 3/2 could have blocked or even attacked more effectively. Thoughts?
I agree with Hekks, you need som grave-hate, unless you know there are no graveyard-based decks at your store. Rest in Peace or Relic of Progenitus are good choices. I also like Blessed Alliance in my side (but i'm playing mono-W, perhaps BW Eldrazi have different sideboards).
The card is very versatile and was helpful every time I played it (especially against aura hexproof).
Why are you playing only 3 Thalias?
Good luck on your FNM!

That said, if I were to build GW, I'd look at Todd Stevens' GW Company deck instead of Death & Taxes: Collected Company is simply so much stronger than Aether Vial in a long, grindy game.
