I can't think of any extra SB cards that aren't already listed.
I would like to see a Gifts match breakdown. I got wrecked in GP OKC by the deck. I need to do more playtesting against it... Maybe it's not as bad as I think it is? I guess it is similar to Tron. Gotta go fast.
It seems like a lot of people are running Vampiric Link as an answer to Burn instead of the other options. I've never tried it out because I'm not really a big fan of it. It can be cool to cancel out Eidolon and would be great on a delve fatty, but it is just as weak to Destructive Revelry as Dragon's Claw is. I really don't see how having 2 in the board can bring our chances against burn up by much. Has it felt good in the burn matches for those of you that run it, or is it a desperate attempt to shore up a bad matchup?
I have been a fan of Death's Shadow ever since he came up as a possible alternative. I also have 2 Dispel in the board which go a long way in keeping those final few points of damage from going through when you begin to race. Death's Shadow can come in against other aggro decks that we have trouble keeping up with, so it isn't as narrow as Link either. Was Death's Shadow written of as simply being too janky to be a good sideboard option? It is such an awesomely fun card to play with.
@Permanence once I get a little time today I will do a write up about Gifts, but the basic idea is similar to tron where you have to go fast, but surgical extraction or rakdos charm are the best cards there since it shuts down their combo. Lingering souls in that deck is annoying too if they are playing esper and not just UW.
@brinkoman In the previous primer, I posted a ton about how good death's shadow is, especially against burn and jund. However, I found vampiric link very useful against burn since against eidolons, it allows us to snap back cheap spells without taking 4. Death's shadow is certainly a fun way to fight the match, but vampiric link has proven to be safer from my testing and takes 1 less spot, freeing up another space for another match. Also against burn compared to claw, its 1 mana vs 2, and it either shuts down a creature or makes your dude gain a ton of life, where dragon's claw just turns bolts into shocks and so on, and you need at least 3 for the match. Right now if i were to go to a GP, I would bring 2 Vampiric link, if i were going to a FNM for fun, death's shadow all the way.

I've been pleased with Vampiric Link's performance. It is actually reasonably versatile. I've used it as a pseudo Pacifism on opposing fatties (note, as I understand the rules the enchanted fatty can still deal lethal to you before the lifegain kicks in). Linking an Angler or even an Insectile Aberration is great. Link also works well against various attrition strategies. Unless Link catches on more, I don't think Destructive Revelry or any enchantment removal is enough of a reason not to run it. I think Modern is particularly soft to enchantments. Game 2, the Link is going to catch them off guard and I don't see someone siding in for it at that point. Game 3 they could, though. Maybe that's when the Death's Shadow come in.
I haven't had a chance to play with Death's Shadow yet, but it looks like a blast.
got to board in Death's Shadow yesterday against a CoCo/Lingering Souls and they were amazing. It is a really, really fast creature for only one mana. I dropped two of them when I was at 10 life, and suddenly my opponent didn't want to swing again since he couldn't do lethal that turn, but he would make my Shadow's big enough to crack back at him for lethal. Then I intentionally fetch + shocked myself to make them monsters and swung at him anyway. He had to block unprofitably in order to survive the turn.
On game three my opponent got me down to 2 life before I stabilized by snap + terminating the last of his creatures. Oh, and like last time, my opponent started to get reluctant to swing at me since my Shadow would be too big to deal with. Swinging team with an 11/11 to lead your army is a great feeling.
I've found out that in a lot of games with Grixis Delver vs. aggro, I'm frequently below 13 life before I stabilize, so Shadow is almost always active.
The funny thing is I often get to play my Shadow before Angler or Tasi since I don't have to wipe my entire graveyard + lose lots of tempo by tapping low. 1 black mana for a giant beater is the best.
I haven't tried Vampiric Link yet, and from what others say it sounds like it may actually be better than Death's Shadow, but Shadow really makes my inner-Timmy cry tears of joy so I probably won't switch.
What do we do against tron? What do you side out? Blood Moons go in if we have them. Pretty obvious there. But kill cards like Terminate? They are kind of dead, but they do run high value stuff like wurmcoil engine and platinum angel too.
I take out 2 terminate and 2 forked bolt bringing in 2 thoughtseize, 1 negate, and 1 surgical extraction. I may keep in forked bolt and take out cut so there is more reach through burn. It's a tough match but have a early clock and hand disruption and you can win
the card itself really isn't worth the card board its printed on...does it serve a purpose? Sure its a blue 1 drop that might not be a 1/1. I would not put it in a list and expect to win a PTQ or GP though.

(For what it is worth I did play and win a just-for-fun game against UR Twin during this time.)
Round 2: Win vs Selesnya Company
This was an interesting homebrewy (?) deck with Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and Collected Company. Thalia came down first which I promptly disposed of with a bolt. The second Thalia came down followed by an attempted Rancor which I Mana Leaked after a few moments of thought. Thalia chipped away for a few turns before I cast a Tasigur and closed the game out. Game two I probed him turn one to see Dryad Militant, Kitchen Finks, Choke, Voice of Resurgence, Path to Exile... gross. I kept countermagic up for Choke and baited out the Path with a Tasigur. I drew/scryed into two delvers and flipped them both. He didn't last long after that.
Round 3: Win vs Amulet Bloom
Game one I was on the play and fetch-shocked into a turn one delver. My delver never flipped and I stupidly attacked with a 1/1 for four or five turns until he cast Asuza, Lost but Seeking and promptly combo'd off. Game two I probed early and - seeing a land light hand - I 'hymned' out a titan and a Hive Mind. That felt awesome. He played a few karoo lands and I cast a Tasigur and attacked. Eventually he cast Summoner's Pact. On my turn I cast Blood Moon and said go. He lost during the upkeep because he had a bunch of Mountains. Game three played out like a Greek tragedy with everyone in the shop watching. Thrun, the Last Troll came down early. Dragonlord Atarka made an appearance, wiping my board of a flipped delver, a pyromancer, a few tokens. The pyromancer made an extra token on his way out with my Terminate to chump Thrun next turn. I recovered with a Tasigur and some Rise // Fall maneuvers for the win.
Round 4: Win vs Anafenza Company
My opponent kindly offered to draw and split the winnings. I declined and said let's fight it out. Game one took about 30 minutes. We traded blows for a while as he tried to assemble the combo. He cast a Voice of Resurgence. Instead of my usual gut response of must-kill-as-fast-as-possible, I just decided not to play instants on his turn and not to kill it. It is a 2/2. Eventually the board was totally gummed down with just about every creature in my deck and a bunch of elemental to boot. He had Anafenza, witnesses, Noble Hierarch, bolstered Birds of Paradise, and voice. He Chord of Calling'd for a Revillark. Next turn, I was able to push through with an all in attack followed up with a snap-bolt for the win. Game two I took a really aggressive disruption line, fetch-shocking and casting Thoughtseize left and right. I was firmly in control of the game. At his end of turn, all he had in play was a Viscera Seer, I cast a snapcaster in Ambush Viper mode and he Collected Company in response. I didn't feel too bad because I didn't have a counter for it anyway, but then he hit Anafenza and Kitchen Finks. Oops! He has infinite life and I concede. Game three we only had 6 or 7 minutes left to play. We are both enjoying ourselves and agree to just play the game out at a regular pace and draw for the match. I ended up winning in a couple turns with time left on the clock. I draw a usually sketchy hand of 4 lands, 2 mana leaks and a snare, but I decide to just play grixis control for this game. The deck behaves beautifully and the sequencing was something like: leak his finks #1, leak his finks #2, Tasigur, Blood Moon, delver, delver, flip both delvers. He was a good sport and gave me the win instead of drawing. We still split the packs.
Two Rise // Fall is a good number. I am happy with the change. I was really glad to have Murderous Cut back, too. I wish there was more room for countermagic but I don't want to change anything. There is probably a more control heavy build that is viable, but I am coming to understand that part of what makes this iteration of the deck so deadly is that it attacks from many angles: efficient air and ground beaters, countermagic, removal, hand disruption. All these things work together in subtle ways. For example, I was happy to chump an exalted Voice of Resurgence with a pyromancer because I knew it would fuel an Angler out a turn sooner which I knew would be needed to fight the Voice. Stuff like this really makes me happy and I find it incredibly rewarding.
Congrats @Permanence!
Update to my youtube page: I had a really interesting match with affinity yesterday, and i figured it would be good to make a video discussing some of the plays and reasoning behind those plays today. I also am making an update video using my current form of the deck and also talking about the new primer we have here. Next week I have time to make some more recordings, so if you want to see a specific match and the strategy behind it, post here or in the comments of the update video on youtube

I felt like I did do some mistakes in sideboarding, like not sideboarding Rough/Tumble in when facing affinity.
Now the big thingie: Dropping Young Pyromancers and Gitaxian probes for Pack Rats and a single Negate. Because our meta is so aggro, I felt like Young Pyromancer just died to everything and most of the times I only got 1 token from it. I also hated to take 2 damage from Gitaxian Probes when I am already taking so much damage from my landbase. Pack Rat allows me to play a threat that must be answered immediately or it will become hard to take care of. Of course there were some times I had to consider that should I invest to it or play with the spells I have in hand. But when I decide to invest to it, all my dead cards become Pack Rats and doing combat tricks with it feels good.
Today I think Pack Rat won me the game only once, against elves. So I think it needs more testing and I am going to do so for now.

I'm sorry but would would you want to bring 2 copies of a card that you might not draw while Affinity still has cards in hand? (Inquisition of Kozilek) Isn't keeping 2 Pack Rats better? Or just keeping 1 Rat and adding 1 Rough // Rumble? Or even Vampirik Link for a fattie? Just wondering, as I have never sided in IoK against affinity before. Was it relevant?
